Got an email from my cline provider about some Skyptv?  It claims the following...

"SKYPTV streaming will replace your missing channels expensive new hardware and will work on smart tv, android, pc, zgemma / enigma2 and many more."

Anyone know what this is? He's given me a Dropbox guide to setup Smart TV then says once setup ask for a test.  :-\

Edit: think this is IPTV. Anyone have a Kodi IPTV setup?

it is iptv, ive had same email

Will be sticking with my Zgemma this season. Just got the Octagon Flex Feed LNB. It's a monoblock, basically a combi LNB that can pick up two sats eg. UK Freesat and one of the Euro satellites (including 3pm's & HD still going strong) through your dish at the same time. Works flawlessly once you find the sweet spot between the two sats!

Can anyone PM me details of a decent cable sub provider.  My most recent deal is about to expire and it's been shit lately so looking to get an improvement for the big kick off.

I've still got a line with tech.guy from CSkings. Has all the remaining cracked channels and BT Sport.

Only problem is it runs out today. Is there anywhere to pick up another line for what's left? Think tech.guy has fled the scene.

Sky Sports HD channels disappeared a long time ago from UK card sharing servers, at least 18 months back

Yep. Most people have gone down flawless route, and I did, but I recently paid £30 for a year for a new sub from a new provider. A quieter provider without a facebook group who don't shout about it. A former card sharing group, who have a small group and keep it quiet rather than try to become the biggest thing ever.

I think its worth shopping around.

It wont last forever but keep an eye out for all news.

I still have a CS sub for the remaining channels. They cost fuck all now and all the bt sports is on it. Handy as an alternative.

Got an IPTV sub too which is perfect. No doubt the IPTV will be stopped soon too but something else will come along please God. They will probably still have US Streams if it does go so I'd happily use them for the football instead of sly.

It’s not a provider problem, Just depends on your netid , as soon as the netid area has new Vm boxes ( cardless) the area will go dark

Bit of advice needed please as trying to naff SKY off.

Has anyone got BT TV through a YouView+ box?

Wondering if its possible to change the channel or play recordings stored on the youview+ box using the phone app?

Reason I ask is that I currently have a HD cable running from my SKY box to a HD splitter box.  One HD cable then goes into the living room TV and another long one runs outside, up into the attic and then into the bedroom TV.

If I'm watching SKY in bed I can then change channel and stuff with my the app on my mobile.

Is this possible to do this with BT TV?

cheers

Sky have changed the requirements for free sky go extra so it’s now available free to all sky tv customers via the sky vip program. All you have to do is go on to the my sky app opt into the free vip scheme and click on free sky go extra. It is free sky go extra until you cancel.

The sky vip program is free to all customers so no catch there, only catch I have come across is when you cancel you get opted out of the vip scheme, so in theory that would mean the last month you would be charged for sky go extra.

Don’t shoot the messenger but how do I know, guess where I don’t like to work?

Edit
its not account specific, it is available to all sky tv customers

If for some reason you can’t find it you either have sky go extra free via sky mobile or multiscreen if not call sky.

Can take 24 hours to go live, don’t add sky go extra just click the offer and let the system redeem it.

I'm after some advice please.

My sky subscription is cancelled as of 29th Jan this year and I'm still not decided what to get. Virgin is not an option as it's not in my area.

The options are either go with sky again, BT TV or one of these mag boxes I see people banging on about on Twitter.

I'm thinking maybe go with sky and get the fastest internet and try one of these boxes and if it's rubbish then update sky tv with just the sport. I'm not bothered about anything else. But BT is also an option due to the BT Sports free.

Can anyone advise what the best option maybe?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, old thread but just wondering does anyone know if it will be able to pick up BT sport tomorrow with a zgemma box and no CS sub, as it’s free to view on sky? Plan to use YouTube for the match but then was wondering if my old zgemma would be able to pick it up?

Why not get a 24hr trial/pass with IPTV, my provider doesn't do it when footy is on but I'm sure if you ask in the IPTV thread someone will know one that does.

Won't be watching either BT Sports or Sky Sports until the first game of next season now.

Will I save money if I cancel both channels now, then start again next season? Or will I end up having to pay a fee to sign back up again?

Looks like sky have put an end to card sharing on virgin, all sky sports channels bar mix and news gone.
