I think if they can conjure up another three movie arc of him and Jane, with Beta Ray Bill and Valkyrie could make for a fun watch.

What would make him unworthy enough to stop wielding Mjolnir but find the audience on his side? Maybe teaming up with Loki to go on a quest of some kind that's a bit iffy, with the rest chasing the two down?

I just don't think they'll be going that deep with Hemsworths Thor again. He's had his big arc and will be off with the GOTG being all funny and stuff... before things get serious and the next big bad comes along.

Well that Phase 5 is pure speculation, although some obvious ones.

And I'm going to assume Spider-Man 3 gets added to phase four, July 2021.

Four seems to be a bit of a breather, before starting the next saga, given it's only two years and there is no massive team-up.

Depends how hard they go on the TV series, re: Phase 4. If those are all proper, first tier products that hook into the main universe going forward rather than just being standalone, 2021 is pretty much going to be non-stop Marvel. Too much of a good thing, if anything.

Mind you, I've talked about Marvel saturation years ago in Phase 2 and the franchise has gone on its merry way.

I think the next team up film is probably going to be Avengers vs X-Men in Phase 5. They're making a big play out of the multiverse, and I'd guess that at some point we're going to see some of the alternate earths combine. That'll bring X-Men and mutants into this universe - obviously there'll be a conflict with the Avengers at first, before they unite to take on a bigger threat. I think they'll shy away from doing solo X-Men movies for a few years more, instead putting those characters into other properties.

Seen some suggestions that Fantastic Four could be a 60s set period piece, which would be fun. Although presumably if they did that, they'd be brought into the modern era in some way?

Here's a video of Kevin hinting at FF4 and Mutants (While also mentioning BP2, CM2, GOTG3), and also brings out Mahershala Ali to introduce Blade

I'm really curious to see how they introduce Blade seeing as this would also require vampires to exist in the MCU.

Another multiverse thing maybe? Maybe they should get Taika Waititi to direct, Blade meets What we do in the Shadows.

You'd hope so, interesting to think how they go about doing R rated anything though. Blade clearly lends itself to it, but you'd be tempted to think such a thing would play better as TV.

But without the netflix deal where would Marvel/Disney even position an R rated show? Disney+ isnt going to carry any of that sort of content we hear, so where does it end up?  If it is R rated for cinemas then they still need to make it available online post release *somewhere*.

Hulu seems to be being talked about as an option but is it even available worldwide?

Whats the point? The best thing about the MCU is that it's all linked and anyone of these characters could pop up in another film.

That being said, i think they could make him R rated if disney allowed it and then when he comes in other movies he can bring his own R rated character to a more PG-13 crowd which i think would work well!

He's a street level guy and should stay that way. They didn't incorporate the Netflix shows (and Ali basically means they weren't connected at all) and can do the same for Blade.

I was really hoping someone like Daisy from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D would make a surprise cameo in one of the Avengers movies, but yeah I agree Blade should stay disconnected, even if technically they never rule out them existing in the same universe.

Finally got around to seeing Spiderman: Far from Home last night. I really enjoyed it. Yes, there's that scene where Mysterio explains everything for the sake of the audience and its a bit silly, but overall its very good. Tom Holland is the definitive Spiderman for me. He nailed the "I'm just a kid" angst perfectly.

Spoiler
The scene with the zombie iron man was fantastic IMO.

Will be funny seeing Sony come crawling back to Marvel again after Spiderman 3: 2 has bombed. That Raimi one had way too much shit going on in it, and I'm sure he mentioned it was all studio exec nonsense.

It also fucks up Disney/Marvel's plans as they were setting Spidey up to be both the next Iron Man and also the new face of the Avengers movies... maybe this means they'll fast track a new X-Men film as insurance.

But when Disney want a 50/50 split what's the point from Sony's perspective? If we assume the next Spidey would gross the same that equates to $470Mil profit when they made $700Mil on Venom alone.

Even The Amazing Spiderman 2 would be more profitable.

Meanwhile Disney is trying to own half the planet and their army of Marvel fans are acting like Sony have committed murder.
