Will be watching this now then, excellent.  Very interested to see how he gets on at that level.

Would love him to score the winner in a South Wales Derby.

It's absolutely huge that he's straight in and playing.  Will be so important for him and his development to get as much match time as possible while there.  Such a smart move by the club letting him go out on loan.

This already looks like a good move for him, he's going to have to get used to the hustle and bustle of this league, there have been a couple of times he's expected a free kick that just hasn't come.  Will come back to Liverpool a stronger player.

I still hold the hope that Rhian has a future here, he needs games to get up to speed and hopefully he will show the reason why many of us still think he has the potential for a great future at this club.

Yeah he's been in that no mans land  between youth and senior level for 2yrs now, obviously not helped by a couple of serious injuries but its almost now or never for him.

I know he's still only 19 and there's still time but he's missed a lot of development time, at a really crucial time for any lad.

That building up of his strength and stamina whilst his body changes from boy to man was curtailed through his injuries and Jurgen has already mentioned how he struggled with senior level training sessions once he'd recovered.

A decent spell at Swansea with possibly another loan somewhere next season and we might have a better idea of the player we have.

Watching him in this game so far he'll be battered black and blue when he gets home [emoji23]

Even if he doesn’t make it here we could sell him for a good profit and reinvest, just think what Klopp could do with Brewsters millions.

Today is effectively his full first team debut.

He’s been kicked quite a bit, but he’s really strong

Nothing personal against you but I feel like the game Football Manager has put incredibly unrealistic expectations for young players from fans (or maybe it's the incredible way that TAA has become as good as he has at such a young age).  The reality of the situation is that most players don't take the step to becoming a top class/world class player until they reach 23/24 +.  That's usually the age when players make the move to big clubs and take that next step in their development.  Simply look at Mane or Salah or Firmino as perfect examples of players becoming world class in their mid 20's and not at 18/19.  Brewster has plenty of time to make it here.  He needs to develop and he needs games but it's definitely not "almost now or never" for him.

A really scrappy game so far but he looks more than up to it physically, which is maybe a slightly pleasant surprise.

Typical derby at this level. Lacking quality but plenty of physicality.

Ayew is the one player with quality. If Brewster can link up with him then maybe Rhian can show his own ability.

They need to keep the ball on the ground more Swansea. I was impressed with a cross field header he did earlier on, perfectly found his man.

Yeah I know all that and I don't think I meant it's "now or never" to show he's world class but to make the transition from youth to senior level.  Very few do and even fewer do who have lost 2yrs growth and development.

I've never played football manager instead I'm basing my opinions on working at youth level football for many years.

As somebody above said, this is basically his senior debut.

He's grown into the game though Jill which is always a good sign and he's had very little training time with the team.

Hopefully Steve can integrate him quickly so he can shine.

Absolutely abysmal standard though. I’m annoyed at him for making me watch this  ;D
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.
