Topic: Half time: Liverpool 0-1 Crystal Palace

Here's an idea - if you think the half time threads are a 'disgrace', 'embarrassing', 'full of moaning bedwetters' etc, go and do something else for the next 15 minutes. Make a cup of tea, walk the dog, have a quick tug, whatever. This thread is for anyone who just wants to post a quick reaction to what we just watched, it's not worth getting wound up about.

Now, regarding the football, that was the very definition of smash and grab from Palace. We had all the possession and the chances but couldn't take any and got sucker punched. Nat Phillips is a good lad who tries his best but he really isn't good enough unfortunately.

Another huge test coming up in the second half. We don't have a lot of the bench to change things because of the desperate injury situation so it's on the lads already out there to rescue this.

Not good, we were busy and dominant first 25 or whatever but it was hardly a case of battering down the door, more lots of tame efforts or half chances and a couple of good ones. Then went to shit and lucky it's not 2.

Thiago is probably our most important player, loads of others are great but he just seems to elevate this team another 2 levels (Fulham aside!). Hopefully we can equalise then Palace wilt under the pressure.

Crystal Palace are doing exactly what they came here to do. A very well-drilled side so far. We are just not smart enough with the ball.

I think we're playing really well.  It's just the finishing that has let us down.

Palace were always going to get the occasional breakaway and Zaha took the chance very well.  Apart from that and the five minutes after the goal where the game got really ragged we have dominated.

I'm confident we'll get the win.

Pfffft don't even know how to assess that half. Some great performances from Elliott and Trent, some poor performances from Milner and Robbo and everyone else is so-so.

Not sure we deserve to be behind, but that's the nature of Palace's game plan. Irritating more than anything.

Really poor from us. Sure we’ve had a lot of the ball but when have Palace ever been worried like we were when Zaha broke through twice? I know it’s a weakened team but we’re better than this. A draw at home to Palace is a poor result but that’s as good as we look like getting.

Bar the obvious we’ve actually played well for large periods up to the 18 yard box, just really lacking the cutting edge.

We have to stop conceding first that is the 6th league game in a row we’ve gone 1-0 down in.
