Can't wait for people to have egg on their faces next year in relation to Facile Vega.

I’ll start to believe it when I see it. He’s yet to beat a good horse.

He just beat one yesterday. Sandor Clegane, one of your old favourites is a fairly good horse too.

We'll see in time.

Il Etait Temps is just a handicapper of the future and Sandor Clegane is short of top class. We’ll see but he’s a hype job so far in my opinion. His bumper form is terrible and he got put away easily enough at Cheltenham. If he comes out over fences and puts up 170 figures that’s fair enough.

How good do you think Marine Nationale is Flash? I think he’s a very good horse but not a superstar and he beat FV fairly convincingly. Over fences it might be different but is guess if he takes to fences he’ll be better over further

Il Etait Temps did beat Inthepocket nearly 10 lengths and Inthepocket went and won the novice hurdle grade 1 at Aintree.

I think Marine Nationale could be very very good. I'm not sure Facile Vega will go jump a fence, might end up dominating the Stayers Hurdle for a few years.

Wonder where they go with Gaelic Warrior. Either Stayers or over fences presumably.

Impaire Et Passé must be some horse, not as hyped as some but far and away the best novice hurdler this season for me.

Most likely I guess. After that I’d quote like to see him go Stayers, not the strongest division currently, he has the potential to boss that.

Fastorslow has been campaigned shall we say… interestingly by Brassil. Ran over 2m, 2m 5, 2m 3, 2m 1 and then 3m 1 over his last 5 runs. Not convinced Brassil really had a clue where to put him but fair play, he won a nice pot here. That Ultima form is boiling hot.

Just noticed they’re moving the Tolworth Hurdle from Sandown to a new card at Aintree on Boxing Day. The Bula/International at Cheltenham is also moving from December to their Trials meeting at the end of January

Sounds like today may have prompted a rethink reading what Mullins said afterwards. Could well be Stayers. 8/1 best price now

I’d run him in the Stayers. Nothing really coming through so he should take high ranking.

Still only 5. Could be the next Inglis Drever or Big Bucks and reel off a few if he stays sound

Definitely a horses for courses event that one.

Monkfish is running tomorrow in the stayers event. I’m only worried about him bouncing to the moon but am I going to back him? You better believe I am. He ran well last time.

Such a shame what happened to him. He was destined to be one of the best chasers in recent memory. For all the luck Rich Ricci has had as an owner he could have enjoyed so many more memorable moments if his horses stayed sound.

Yep Monkfish looked to be on course to be a serious Gold Cup horse. Great if they can get him back but how in any world can he be shorter than Sire Du Berlais after his last two victories. He’ll probably run a stinker now but I’ll be backing him again.

And in terms of those Ricci horses, Vautour is always the one for me. His two wins over fences at the festival were breathtaking. Actually watched the Ryanair win from the inside of the track, got a magnificent view as he sailed over the last

He definitely has some hard luck stories does Ricci. I think Vautour was the one they’d like back Duvva. They ran him in that Ryanair because they weren’t convinced on how he’d been working if I remember right. Don Cossack won the Gold Cup and it was not a vintage renewal.

Felt like SDB possibly travelled too well there and Walsh maybe went on too early, but what a tremendous end to the season he’s had. Tehupoo was disappointing, Found Nothing. It’s possible Monkfish doesn't like Punchestown as he was beaten early, only other defeat (before his injury) was there to Colreevy as a novice over fences

Baaeed’s half brother, Naqeeb debuts at Leicester tomorrow. By Nathaniel and running over 10 furlongs first time out, so unlikely to have much pace but let’s see.

Translation - He's an absolute boat :D

On a side note, I backed Baeeed blindly on his debut and 4 furlongs out I was resigned to the fact I'd lost and blamed myself for backing blind. 30 odd seconds later and I thought I was a genius.

Can’t believe Jonbons price tomorrow. 11/10 in open company for the first time. I had to check if he was receiving weight (he’s not). He won easy at Aintree but was well and truly put in his place by El Fabiolo. Just seems way too short, he’s very good but no superstar

I’ve had a go at Brandy Love today, much better right handed and is a decent price

Harper's Brook there was an unbelievable finish. He just seemed to call enough after looking to have won after the last, definitely had plenty left in him, have never seen a horse seem to call it quits like that.

Is she definitely running in the Guineas, thought I read something earlier today suggesting she’d run in a Group 3 in Ireland?

Edit: having just checked her odds it would suggest she’s running in the Guineas after all.

Weld did seem a bit lukewarm in quotes, not towards the horse but he won’t have trained her specifically for this so I worry a match fit inferior horse would do for her. If it was run in July I’d say she’s bombproof.

Going to Newmarket tomorrow. Not the greatest card outside the 2000 Guineas itself.

I suspect Auguste Rodin will win, although Noble Style is worth an ew shout at 18/1

Good to see him do it, but he beat possibly the worst group 2 lineup ever seen. The horse that ran second is 6 years old and has never won more than a Class 2 handicap at Newmarket over 1 mile 6 in the UK. He’s probably only run to 112-113 there, so he’s still way short for my money.

More the way he did it, he’s been desperate since the Arc 18 months ago, this looked more like it, but no doubt he beat nothing today.

On the other hand Stoute might have one for the Oaks this year, Infinite Cosmos looked better the further she went.

Perdika looks a good price to me today. Gets a stack of weight and doesn’t have much to find on ratings. Battle hardened and match fit too. Buick’s on her and so am I.
