I had Luke Humphries over Dobey but the rest were what I had down

Must be pretty gutting for Humphries but no TV finals in 2022 whereas Dobey just won the Masters
The PDC kind of shot themselves in the foot by leaving the announcment until after the Masters.  They basically had to include the winner.  The Masters isn't even a ranking tournement, whereas the Open and European Championship are and their winners haven't been included in the Premier League.

Dobey is chucking them quite nicely at the minute. Justified his inclusion on night 1. Can’t imagine any of the players who got left out would’ve won any night.

Not convinced. He’s had average results for the last 6 months.

Cullen has done nothing for some time.

Sounds like dobey had a great night and good on him, but it's just one night of 50 or however long it goes on for these days.

Andrew Gilding is a major winner. Jesus fucking Christ. Van Gerwen basically chucked it away. So many chances and got beat by a farmer.

I went to Leeds last week with Jack. We had a great table (which helps), no proper pissed up dickheads. Atmosphere was brilliant.  Somehow Jack managed to get a signal in there so during the games everyone was crowding round his phone watching the Everton game (practically all Leeds fans).  Only downside - 2 pint pot of Birra Moretti was £16.90.  3 pics below - one with my lad and some funny lads behind him.  Apparently the lad next to me - Bielsa sign - was on the TV (certainly the big screen in the venue)

World Cup starts tonight. Change of format. Top 4 seeds go straight into the second round. Then there's twelve groups of three with the group winners joining the top 4 seeds in the last 16. It's also pairs only. No MVG for the Netherlands.

Can't wait for this - the big sell of this tournament was getting to see doubles play and it's better than watching one of them seeing what's going on via a computer screen and only getting doubles when they are tying. Most pub darts still retain the doubles format in their match nights too so it's great to see it on the big stage. Plus after Dolan getting the 'double in' 9 darter, I'm bang up for watching a team 9 darter at some point ;D

Huybrechts and Van Den Bergh clearly don't like each other. Never even acknowledged each other throughout the match or after they won.

Absolutely excruciating to watch this in parts. Fist bumping every throw, ridiculously over the top ‘celebrations’ for absolutely nothing of note and just general weird behaviour round the oche.

Love the Matchplay, it's probably my favourite tournement.  Some tasty first round ties there too - Wade v Dobey, Chizzy v Anderson, VdB v Smith and Heta v Rock probably the stand out ones for me.
