How do you even go about constructing a legal case? It happened before half-time of a game, if the goal is awarded everything that happened wouldn't have happened and there'd have been an entirely different set of events. Sheffield United could've come back and won 6-1. Last kick of the game and it might be different.

Indeed. Surely impossible. Still never underestimate the ability for clubs to search for a buck!

Why is Sancho so nailed on according to them all?
I'd love to get him. One, cos he's great and two because the fewm from them would be hilarious.

Still doesn't make any sense to me. No idea where he fits in Rodgers' system.

Versatile but average. Doesn't run in behind like Vardy and cause a nuisance, doesn't have the directness to play outwide. Doesn't assist, and only scored in five seperate league games. He's been poor this season.

When are the new season’s fixtures released!?

Not until about 2 weeks before the season starts.

So in about a month.

Do you honestly think that incorrect decisions in a football match can be legally challenged months after they occur...?

Don’t answer that, because you obviously think they can ;D

They can’t.

They wouldn’t be looking to change the decision. They’d argue that improper use of the rules/technology directly influenced their relegation. It’s not a subjective thing either i.e interpretation of a penalty which you can argue either way, but a clearly incorrect decision.

You'd have Chelsea and England getting thier lawyers out next.  ;D

Well yes and considering the VAR fuck ups this season, a lot of clubs could argue improper use of the rules/technology directly influenced their league position.

What about the penalty United got against Villa when it was 0-0?
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Glad to see the back of Eddie Howe.  He talks utter shite in interviews.

And Deeney of course. He will finish his career in the championship!

I guess they could say those ‘fuck ups’ went through VAR review and so the decision is as a result of interpretation.

Whereas with Sheffield Utd’s goal, there was literally no ability for interpretation by the video ref as the VAR cameras weren’t even working.

If it's the interview I saw, I took it in the context of the club needing to have a post mortem. When asked about how they've replaced managers he also said something like 'yeah the players too - who knows, maybe I've played my last game too (implying they might cash in on him/want rid).

I thought Var was working for that goal and it was Hawkeye that wasn't working, so it again became a var fuckup when they didn't make the correct decision?

Replace VAR with Hawkeye. Assume VAR wasn’t even involved as they’d have relied on the referee’s watch.

I think the championship is his level, , but he wouldnt be a superstar there either.

John Cross thinks Lampard has had a 'remarkable' season as they finish in the top 4

https://twitter.com/MirrorFootball/status/1287439107518607360

He must be the biggest ass kisser in football . Every tweet is about how marvellous so and so is.  It's quite funny.  To be fair he does say nice things about us as well.

Accidentally listened to part of that shite Squad thing on five live on my way back from Aldi. Someone was making a genuine case for him as manager of the season - someone pointed out he had 6 points less than Sarri and that was excused cos of Hazard etc. Tbf j think it’d be similar if Stevie was limping us into the CL

The Leicester drop out of top 4 has to be one of the biggest capitulations in recent Premier League history. On Jan. 1st, they were in 3rd place, up 6 pts on Chelsea and 11 pts on United, only to end up in 5th, 4 pts behind both teams. A 10 pt and a 15 pt swing, respectively. What a collapse.
Oh, these sour times.

No one admires resilience when you were just plain wrong all along - that's just twattishness.

who has Brendan blamed
In his defence he's been without 3 of his first choice back 4, plus one of his most creative midfielders in Maddison for quite a while now, so they've been extremely unlucky on that front.
