Absolute support today at Aintree before the National meeting started, 75,000 in a one minute applause for the 96 in front of Margaret Aspinall and Kenny.

Great to see people from 'other' walks of life away from football showing their respects.

Just read through the whole of this thread and it's bringing up all kinds of emotions.

Been wading through a lot of personal shite recently and haven't had time to think about nothing else. I stayed in our kids last night and we started to speak about our plans for Tuesday.

Now it's all starting to hit home again.

Been wearing my flame justice badge on my uniform the last couple of weeks and with a very international crew, it has attracted a lot of attention, mainly from younger people not even alive in 1989. They all support other clubs like Man U, Real Madrid, Barcelona, etc, pretty much what you'd expect from a largely South East Asian complement.....

......but what struck me was just how interested people were when I told them what it meant and they universally expressed empathy for the campaign. Some have even borrowed the edition of HFD that I brought onboard with me, with it being returned within two days, in pristine condition and the look on the face of new knowledge gained.

Perfect.

Not so much a specific tribute per se but I just wanted to say that a whole new generation of fans from other clubs continues to learn what Hillsborough means to the international community, not just to us. I'll glady accept that.......

Many Thanks.

I seen on the BBC website that some Norwich fans took a banner the game to.

It's not a club but I was driving at 3pm today and BBC London's sports programme explained about the late kickoffs and reminded people about hillsborough (didnt hear exactly what was said) then said something along the lines of 'to all the people affected by hillsborough you'll never walk alone' and played Gerry and pacemakers YNWA, it was really nicely done.

Minute of silence held immaculately at Deepdale today by both Preston and Carlisle fans. Also YNWA sung shortly after.

A lot of my Preston supporting friends and family (I'm from Preston, but my dad supports Liverpool and so I grew up supporting Liverpool) have said some good things on Facebook today. Well done for the win today, I'm always glad to see PNE do well.

I remember the friendly last season, I sat in the Tom Finney Stand and there was a well observed Stand up for the 96. PNE and Liverpool have a lot of links.

Proud Preston, its a name we have lived with for a 100 or so year and we would like to keep it!

Though giving away Shankly might just be about the dumbest thing we ever did!

A larger chunk of the wider football community now seem to understand the importance of the fight for justice and that is reflected in the acts of acknowledgement and respect we have seen this weekend. The photo's have really set the tears flowing here, as I'm sure is the case with a lot of people.

To our 96 angels: The lads will do you proud against City, and indeed for any game we play. You are always in our hearts and minds.

I come in here, the Hillsborough Solidarity page and see nothing but good, lovely people and LOVE.

Just want to say a big thanks to the City fans (if there's any in here :)) today. They observed the minutes silence absolutely impeccably. It's a small gesture but one that shows an immense amount of respect and it's greatly appreciated.

A friend of mine is a Coventry fan, and they played Peterborough away yesterday.

Apparently they played You'll Never Walk Alone (unheralded) before kick off, and initially one or two joined in, before slowly and surely, the whole ground sang it as one.
