I'd never heard anyone say that before, went for a coffee at dinner, we were sat outside so me and the lad took our dirty dishes inside and the young girl said "thank you so much". Is it just the younger ones saying it?

Bussing your own dishes merits a "thank you so much" in my book...

I don't get it debs. What's wrong with that?

Assuming the girl was relatively young, the issue is a lot of young people these days can't think for themselves.

Errr..... Maybe try washing them 🤷

What if they were really dirty with stains that need bleaching?

Wow, do you not have a dishwasher ?  Do they have to sweep chimney's too, and dig out coal for you :)

Yes we have dishwashers but if they don't put the dirty dishes in it they don't get washed.  It's not hard really is it?

I'm sure if you told your missus you'd washed up but actually you'd put everything in the cupboards dirty she wouldn't be thrilled.

Especially if you then said there were
no clean pots!!

My local boozer has changed the beers to new brand [Amstel] & it's awful compared with the beer it's replaced Coors, & more expensive too, a couple of weeks ago Coors was £2.60 a pint rising to £2.80 a pint from 7pm Friday & all day Saturday & Sunday, then price increase  Coors went up to £2.85 & £3.05, but they've replaced Coors with Amstel, & Amstel is now £3.15 & £3.35 from 7pm Friday & all day Saturday & Sunday, Coors was the best seller too. :no so i've ended up drinking John Smiths instead, which not a bad pint, only £2.05 rising to £2.25 from 7pm Friday & all day Saturday & Sunday.

Other new beers they've got in on draft Cruzcampo which is around £4.15 a pint & Peroni around £4.50 a pint.both have a 20p rise from 7pm Friday & all day Saturday & Sunday.

In 2 weeks the standard beer has gone up from £2.60 [£2.80] to £3.15 [£3.35].

Pisser that when they get rid of your drink of choice. Some cheap beer there though. I'm not a big lager drinker, so I get whacked £5.50 for Guinness or whatever bitter, except Boddingtons is on, and thats usually over £4 a pint. I'll drink Amstel in Tenerife but it's usually a shandy and it's dead cheap, 1.50 a pint usually

I read that horses are attracted to the dog poo and try and eat it in the bag. Sometimes leading to them having to be put down when something like 16 bags are found in their stomach.  I do question how horses smell through a plastic bag.  And basically it's gross. Like where do people think the bags are going to go?
I think I'd rather they just left the shit on the ground to decompose naturally.

I take it you don't walk, jog or run anywhere. It can take 9 weeks+ for dog shit to decompose, much longer in the winter, and during that time there are all sorts of parasites and germs.

We have a dog walker by us who picks up after Fido ok, but then puts the shitbag through our/other neighbours railings into our gardens. Sometimes I have removed up to 12 bags from our front, all from the same dog. Without surveillance I am unable to be certain who it is but I will track them down and then take vengeance.

Those bags are pretty flimsy to be honest. I’m sure horses have a better sense of smell than me and I can sometimes smell the lovely contents…but I do always bin it, even if it means walking round with it for longer than I’d like (good winter hand warmer though).

My only concern with this, and I am still considering the camera, is that once I catch and confront the shit head, they know where I live but I have no clue as to who they are and ours could be vulnerable to further poor behaviour from them.
Maybe if I find who it is then follow them home I can mess with their heads by dumping their dogshit on their property.

Bizzies shitting in the garden too???

;D Was going to say. It's the dog walker that's giving the shit isn't it?

Absolutely bizarre behaviour that though. You go to the effort of picking up after your dog and then do that? Just don't understand the logic whatsoever.

I see it on a regular basis when i'm out either walking of putting some miles in on my bike, i'm also seeing rubbish all over the place.  Fly tippers are another set of insufferable bastards who should be tarred and feathered.   :(

The current trend of saying ‘thank you so much’ for somebody completing the most menial of tasks - waiter pours a glass of tap water ‘Thank you so much’, train ticket inspector punches a hole in your ticket ‘thank you so much’, absolutely does my head in as it’s so insincere, nobody could possibly be that grateful for those things.

All for being polite but surely a simple smile and a thank you would suffice and actually seems genuine rather than making out that they’ve pulled dog out of a burning building?

My theory is that people are getting generally less polite (bullying on social media, drivers not thanking you for letting them go etc) and to mask it a lot of people “practice gratitude” by offering shallow false overpoliteness

I was walking out of a coffee shop yesterday, one of those two-door things, and I opened the inner door just as a young lad opened the outer one on his way in.  I paused and held the door for him.

he just breezed by me, not even a glance, like I wasn't even there.

I said (almost yelled) "You're welcome!" at the back of his head.  he just turned and smirked. the little twat.
