Yep. Good to see that we are finally looking deep in midfield and attack again. Milner, Shaq and Thiago expected back at the turn of the year. I think Ox will see game time in the wide forward role instead of midfield for starters. With Him/Shaq/Taki we have 3 options for the front 3 even with Jota out and if Divock gets moved on. Midfield feels so secure once everyone is fit and then Milner can be backup for the leftback role if/when Robbo needs a breather. Fingers crossed, but it certainly feels like we are getting over the hump on the injury crisis finally.

Milly and Ox providing an overlap of cover with the attack and defence really does add a nice security to things again.

If we manage to get back get back to a fully fit set of midfielders, we're gonna struggle to know what to do with them al.

Was it his cross for firmino’s late header? Good little cameo from him. A bit of rust but also plenty of intent.

He needs to start against the barcodes even for a 60 min runout. May not last a full game, but he's got drive and intent. And he can shoot from a distance, which we just don't do.

Good to see the Ox back. Gives us a different dimension and will play some important cameo roles in the future if he can stay fit!

So good to have another goal scoring threat. Not knocking Hendo, Gini and Curtis at all, but they don't score enough to support the front three if they're off form.

I feel that Ox can add another dimension to the attack, one that we have been missing a lot against the low-block sides. Shoot the ball toward goal, FFS! Not every time, but many good opportunities go begging and we keep passing around... Things happen when you shoot - the ball can deflect into the net or can fall to our forwards around the penalty area. United had won two games after the 90th minute with deflected shots, that's +4 points just like that. Villa scored against us with how many deflections, were they three? We just don't do that. Ox does.

Probably because he was awful.

I don’t get why he is played wide right. Has he ever played well there?

Just not good enough for a team that wants to win the league.. Nice bloke - thank you - move on
It’s not even about individuality, it’s about the team. Our game was based on his controlling of the tempo. Squeeze the life out of the opposition and then strike. That is our game. Like a pack of pythons.

Think he's fine as a back up in midfield, assuming he doesn't get injured again.  Don't ever want to see him as a wide forward, it's just not his game.

Not sure we can carry him in midfield. He is a fairly big earner and yet another one with two seasons left this summer.

Never been the same player since getting injured against Roma (I think?).

Nothing against him, seems a good lad, in fact, but I'd be looking to move him on to a mid-table English side and get a chunk of money and replace him with someone younger/fitter/more productive.

Can't see him at Liverpool next season, he's a good attacking midfielder, but injuries have ruined him, he's been well below par after his first season.

Think this is said everytime he's played on the wings but he's just not a winger. Don't think he's ever had a good game for us when played on the wings. He's good when playing as the most attacking centre midfielder but looks like injuries have totally fucked him up and he looks a shadow of the player he was.

He is completely and utterly pointless out wide.  Give him a go through the middle, but I worry he is just done full stop at this point. He needs to improve massively or he could and should be moved on in the summer.

He is a #10. He needs to play in the center, running at the CBs.

His control is poor, as is his passing, as is his ability to play in tight spaces when pressed.

Not exactly the talents of a number 10.

His main strengths are that he is a strong runner, and decent at blamming the ball from 30 yards.

Jack mentioned this the other week but the only position he should ever play for us these days is right back.

Could be a menace driving from deep and running onto through balls - just simply not enough ability to create things himself from a higher starting position on a consistent basis

Was invisible tonight, sadly he's been like that in far too many games for us, the odd worldie can't hide the fact Liverpool as a club have moved onto another level from him. Probably our 8th choice midfielder maybe 9th if you consider Shaq a midfield option.
