You felt half time came at the right time although tbf spurs never seemed to really threaten. Glad Mo got his goal after last year he deserved it but maybe we just scored too early.

Can't complain with the scoreline but the frustration is that as poor as we've been, Spurs haven't been great either.

If we put our foot on the gas and play the stuff we know we can play then we'll be out of sight. At the moment we're letting it hang in the balance.

Yeah, that's what I thought.
At one point the commentators were saying about it being quiet, meanwhile you could hear Liverpool fans singing in the background, but sounding like they were 500 yards away.

Can't complain too much about being 1-0 up, but need to up it in the second half.

The positive is that for all their possession, Spurs haven't really created many chances.
Liverpool have done a lot more with a lot less.

if we can step it up a gear in the second half, we'll have this.

Reminiscent of our first half of the season. Lethargic and numerous mis placed passes and we're not coping with their diamond.

Gini having one of those anonymous games.

Wouldn't change it yet but can we place some passes together.

Space will open up as Spurs need to go for and Moura worries me.

We haven't been very good so far but they haven't had one gilt edge chance. Our defence is something else. Get a second and we will ease through. Firmino has been so quiet.

Spurs have possession but have done f all with it. Both sides cagey to be honest, mindful if the heat and trying to pace themselves probably.

Things will go faster in the second half. Spurs will get desperate and they'll become better when Kane goes off.

Don't think that was a pen, but I get why he gave it.

Really poor half, but we're winning. Could do with retaining the ball more and upping our tempo a bit to hopefully grab a second and wrap things up, or at the very least not be caught flat-footed in the unlikely event they score.

I agree it was a pen, arms up in the air and when you watch it back its not like he's in a position where he's just moving naturally, his arms out pointing for a second or two

Two very similar teams cancelling each other out to some extent. But Spurs have been better in midfield and have been more willing to put their foot on the ball. We've looked to release early every single time we've got the ball. That has its advantages but I think we could do a lot better on the ball. We have to improve but the discipline from the boys has been excellent. We now need to match that with some composure now.

Not sure Bobby looks fit, though the midfield aren't helping the forwards into the game, lots of awkward passes. We need to settle down if we can and find a way to start to compete in midfield more and get out passing game going.

3 weeks break and that heat its no surprise we cant play with our usual intensity. Has Fabinho passed the ball? Bobby looks so out of rythym and Mo is in greedy fuck everyone else mode. Even VVD has done some mad things. We have to get the next goal because we are wide open at times and if we dont sort it Spurs have too much quality to not score. Shitting myself here.

We have had more shots.. more shots on target.. more corners..
We have been in more threatening positions.. Lloris has been the busier keeper..

We seem to be letting them have more of the ball by design almost.. Maybe Klopp wants to play on the counter..

BTW.. Spurs have done fuck all with all the possession they have had.. and possession is pretty much the only metric they are leading on..
