Worth remembering the amount of injuries Gerrard had around a similar age as Curtis

Still no word on what was ailing Jones causing him to miss the last two games. Likely got some injury, if not another recurrence of stress fracture, but maybe trying not to draw attention to it while we have no games
Here he is two days ago. Pretty suspicious how they cut off the image of his leg below the knee. He's obviously wearing a protective boot.

Or, you know, maybe he's not injured at all, which would probably make more sense than us keeping a serious injury quiet. Ljinders was asked about injuries and no mention of Jones.
More likely FSG do not want news of Jones injury to get out there right before sale. Multiple billions of dollars could be riding on this.
Oops! Bit quick to cast aspersions fellas, as if there was some kind of conspiracy theory

They’ve photoshopped the leg cast out!
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Never mind the leg can’t they’ve photoshopped someone else’s legs on to Curtis. Look fat too pale, skinny and hairless.

Disgust? He's actually looking on in admiration and saying, the young padawan is learning how to be as injury prone as I am.

I think he tore his quad in October and it's a 4 month recovery so probably not available until February.

Got booted by Partey at Arsenal, can't find any concrete reports on the exact injury, but been hinted at an MCL ligament strain or tear.

Cant be great that he has had to leave the whole training camp.

I know its absolutely banging heads against a brick wall at this point, but I really do wish we wouldnt just launch at the most negative outlook immediately based on literally a couple of lines. Could be bad, could just be a niggle. The report says he's been doing normal team training for ten days, seems odd that he'd be able to get ten days in and then suddenly find out he's actually badly injured after all.

We far too frequently seem to rely on time for players to get over an injury instead of taking the hit and having surgery....I know it's not the lads fault but I'm getting sick of this as regards our players

Diaz's injury was an MCL. I actually had 2 of them myself. From my experience is can cause quite a bit of discomfort because it is aggravate when kicking the ball. Im hoping it is just a week or 2 setback rather than a surgery which is rare for an MCL

Why give players an operation when they can recover naturally? There's always risks associated with surgery, so no need to take them if not required. Mate of mine had knee surgery, surgeon made an error and cut a nerve to her foot. It's that kind of thing that you don't risk unless its necessary.

I've done it once, took about 12 weeks before I stopped feeling the knee.

Yeah, hopefully it's nothing more than that.

I'd pinched the cartilidge in my left knee, physio have the me all clear to start light running and promptly did my MCL on uneven pavement. She was not happy and told me to give up running after that.
