I think he still has more in his locker and is playing within himself. Would love him to take his opposite full back on a bit more often.

Thought both him and Robbo had poor first halfs, improved in the 2nd. Great goal though.  A local kid and nailed down a regular spot at such a young age.  Will be a pleasure to watch him grow and see what he can become.  We have 2 great young full backs who can/should both become among the worlds elite.
As I've said before, the Full English is just the base upon which the Scots/Welsh/NI have improved upon. Sorry but the Full English is the worst of the British breakfasts.

Lol. He’d better score at least one per month, right?

In fairness, he didn't say that. Hoping a 'free kick specialist' can score more than 1 goal from a free kick in just over a year isn't that ridiculous at all.

Shaqiri is even better.

When we got the free kick, my first reaction was 'shit, Shaqiri isn't on the pitch'. Shows what I know ;D

Can't remember the exact number but a few weeks or so ago someone on Twitter had the stats for how many shots from free-kicks he's actually taken, and it wasn't many at all.

Interesting you mention it. This is one of the reasons I want Camacho to make it here and hope he gets a shot if Clyne leaves. Against a low block - having someone who will attack it from the side, commit people, and pull central players out to deal with the threat is important. Camacho has that in spades.

I remember Trent doing that once - against Burnley when Solanke hit the bar. It's rare though.

I felt he was regressing slightly, and the first half was just more of that... but cracking goal and he really stepped up afterwards, lets hope it continues!

He's hit the post a couple of times this season itself. That's despite sharing the free kicks with Shaq & Mo.

If you are talking about carrying and dribbling with the ball then he did that against Hoffenheim as well away last season. We need to see even more of that as he has it in his locker.

Always nice to have a home grown in the first 11. Now we have 2 as well when Gomez is playing. In comparison, City, Chelsea have none.

I think the challenge in the next couple of years is to keep hold of players like these and not to lose them to c*nts like Madrid and Barcelona.

It'd be interesting to see a career FK shots to goals stat for a few players.

No one should really be calling him a free kick specialist at this stage though. You become a free kick specialist by scoring loads of them. Right now we just know he has it in his locker  :)

I wonder if his long term future in the team is further up the park (even centrally) as he def shows his best when going forward and that goal again was pure class. Unlike Robertson you can see he struggles when doing the basics as once he starts to backpedal the opposition can get at him / the team through his channels. Still very young as four years younger than Robertson (who's only 24 himself) so you have to wonder how good the lad can be as he continues to develop.

He's so good. Massively underrated defensively because he's so good going forward. Hope he's alright, not ideal for him to be even missing 1 game right now.

Fantastic tonight.

Klopp's been handling him well this season, cutting down his minutes.

Hopefully not injured and he can put Rashford in his pocket at the weekend.

If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.
