Just checked, there isn't mate, sorry.

Last article that was posted up was he'd be out for Chelsea x2 and City but after that we'd have to see iirc.

The actual timeframe is undisclosed officially. What we do know is that it's not his groin, it's his ankle and I believe something was said about it being infected after getting cut at training. Just an unlucky situation that can happen to anyone really.

Read that he gets the cast off at the end of next week and isn't expected to play v Chelsea and City.

Did Gerrard get the cut from training at West Brom? Is this Hodgson's attempt to scupper our season, long after he was shown the exit?

This is a great thread.  You come to hopefully get an update on the captain's fitness and find that there might already be a thread on this site that might have been deleted but also might not have been deleted.

I also found out that discussing how we go in the next 6 games is not allowed as we need to tale it one game at a time.  I mean I already knew that was frowned upon here, but it's like one of those laws you know is wrong so you just ignore it.

Yep, seems about right.

Think we'll have to look for a replacement for him in January IMO because, as much as I rate Coady and Shelvey, they're not ready yet.

I really think Henderson could do a job in his position, but I would prefer a top quality international coming in.

How could such a small knock get so bad that he'd be out until the new year?

Infected ankle, depending how bad it is then it could take a while.

He'll also need to get back into full training aswell as getting match fit.

Would be a real shame. Especially after reading what he said about how tough the last 7 months have been for him.

Let him rest for as long as he needs.Of course from now on we will have to use him sparingly. So we really need a player to play in his position in January.Have a feeling a RW/CAM player will have to be signed.

It hasn't, it's just opinion for now but putting 2 and 2 together and it doesn't seem like he'll be back before 2012.

Wouldn't mind being proved wrong though.

I just hope he doesn't rush his training, as hard as it'll be not to. He could end up with another setback. As frustrated as I am, I'll take slow but sure progress.

Please adjust/correct these appearance stats for Gerrard and Aquilani for the last two years:

Aquilani: Last season 33 matches (Juventus). This season 9 matches so far (AC Milan).
Gerrard: Last season 21 matches (Liverpool). This season 4 matches so far (Liverpool)

Probably slightly more to it than just the ankle - a culmination of niggling injuries probably and this has just been straw breaking camel back thingy. Don't think he was fully over his groin problem and his recovery time ain't so good as it used to be. New year us a safe bet. I'd try Hendo in his position when we can and see how he does
