Early Reports:

Chirivella - Played 90 minutes as Willem II opened their season with a 2-1 home defeat to Excelsior. Worth noting that he spent the second half of last season on loan in the same league and started 17 games, scoring 2 goals. One of his partners in midfield will also be Englishman Dan Crowley, on loan from Arsenal.

Randall - A bit of a hectic start to the season for Hearts as they've sacked their manager already. It has been said that Randall would be playing in midfield for them during this loan, but maybe any new manager would have a different idea. He was an unused sub in the penalty defeat to Dunfermline in the Scottish League Cup (the result that lead to them sacking Ian Cathro), he began the 4-1 defeat to Celtic on the bench but came on for his debut in the 62nd minute, and started in central midfield as they beat Kilmarnock 1-0 in the second week of the season. He also hit the news this week for refusing to speak to any journalists from The Sun in the post match press conference!

George - Unfortunately, he'll be playing in goal rather than upfront for Carlisle! He has been on the bench for the opening 2 league games for them so far, behind fellow loanee keeper Jack Bonham (from Brentford).

Awoniyi - Scored a nice header on his debut this week for Royal Excel Mouscron, and played 90 minutes (subbed off in injury time) as they beat Lokeren 2-0 away from home. You feel this is a big season for him as he's a bit of a forgotten man here, this being his third season long loan in 3 seasons on our books. Hopefully scoring on his debut will kick him on and allow him to have a good season, he's 20 years old now so fingers crossed he'll fit the net with a bit more frequency than he did during his past 2 loans.

Ojo - The loan was only finalised today, after he had to decide between a variety of Championship clubs (Boro and Villa being 2 of them, as well as some links to Newcastle earlier in the window). Fulham themselves have opened the season with 3 draws, although all 3 have been against fellow promotion contenders. No doubt they'd have liked a win on the board by now, but they'll be happy to have 3 of their contenders out of the way and still be unbeaten. Ojo will be competing with Aluko, Kebano, and Piazon (currently injured) for a starting spot.

Lennon - This loan stretches back into last season because of the dates of the MLS season and will expire at the end of December, I believe. So far he has made 11 starts and 6 sub appearances for them, netting once and getting a further assist. He played every game for the USA U20's in the U20 World Cup this summer and got 2 goals and 3 assists as the USA made it to the quarter finals.

Talking Points:

- Which of the current loanees are you most excited about and who do you expect to make the biggest impact at their club this season?
- How will CR57's move into midfield for Hearts effect his chances of making an impact when he returns here next season?
- Will Shamal George ever get to play upfront again?
- Which other youngsters could potentially benefit from a loan move this summer?

JoeCole:
Ojo - Was an unused sub for Fulham at the weekend when they lost at home to 1-0 to Sheffield Wednesday, he did however get his first game for them tonight starting in the league cup against Bristol Rovers, in another 1-0 defeat. Fulham have now scored just 3 goals in their opening 6 games of the season.
Chirivella - Played another 90 minutes in a 2-0 loss to Utrecht.
Randall - Continued in midfield and played 63 minutes as Hearts got a goalless draw away at Rangers.
Awoniyi - Another 90 minutes under his belt as his side beat Gent 3-2, also picked up an assist. Leaving him with 1 goal and 1 assist after 2 games.
George - Unused sub again.
Lennon - Managed to get another 90 minutes in a 3-1 loss.

Still waiting on a loan move for Allan, who can't play for the club because of his work permit issues.

Bergersrightwingviews:
Most interested in Ojo.

Might try and get down to some Fulham games. Tickets are always easy to come by.

Fulham knocked out of EFL cup. Ojo started the game. No idea how he did perform.

Looking at their forum, he got pretty low match ratings.
