Was in Origins

I'd completely forgot about him being in that, and the film itself really. Worst thing it did was make them cancel the Magneto origins film, a full film of him tracking down and killing nazis would've been fantastic.

Yeah, Austin Butler definitely feels like the obvious Gambit choice today.

I’m still curious if they’re going to do a completely new X-Men cast or if they’ll try and keep some of the Fox versions around. Like are they really going to introduce a new Wolverine having just had Jackman in their Deadpool movie? My guess is they’ll maybe park Wolverine for a while and focus on some other characters. Cyclops is always one fans said got a raw deal in the Fox movies so they could go big there.

I think an X Men film without Wolverine is not going to go down well.

agreed!

Imo most likely because they have just seen him in 3 films previous so not so bad, plus he was in DOFP which is probably the best x-men film out.

I’m sure they’ll still want to do a proper X-Men film but I think the starting point is probably seeding individual characters into other movies. Storm in a Black Panther film, Wolverine in a Spidey one etc…

No chance, too long and seriously boring at times.

Wouldn’t at all be surprised if they throw in a cameo/easter egg of Wolverine in F4, with it set so long ago, milk that long lifespan.

Think Days of Future Past was the best.

Wolverine was a great character but X-Men have a number of good characters. I thought Magneto was my favourite.

Wolverine is pretty boring in movies that have to be suitable for kids.

FC and DoFP were both great. DoFP possibly edging it due to having the best speedster scene of any film.

To be fair increasingly people are sympathizing more with Magneto than Charles

As a kid I was always team Professor X, but these days I'm feeling more and more like Magneto has a point. If Brexit and Trump have taught as anything it's that humans are easily manipulated and can't be trusted to make any decisions for the good of themselves, let alone the rest of humanity (and mutants).

Are we going to see Moon Knight return at any point? The show itself was messy and tonally jarring, but I thought Oscar Isaac put in a fantastic performance. One of the few characters that I'd currently be interested in seeing more of.

Going back on the X-men First Class discussion I really didn't like the ending were they felt like they had to end it so it could perfectly segue into the first X-men film with Charles getting paralysed and Magneto and Raven/Mystique leaving together. Just felt massively rushed and should've been something that was built up over the new trilogy. Then obviously they retconned it all anyway by the time you get to the risible 3rd and 4th films.

Not really. I think there is like a recap of the old series on YouTube.

The 90’s cartoon was really good but it was still fairly kid friendly albeit with some adult themes. This one is definitely for the adults, particularly that last episode.
