The amnesty is something the club talk about a lot and want to do - but want to ensure they don't go about it the wrong way so it's not happening very quickly. Call it consultation.
The amnesty is not about reducing the season ticket list though.
It's about putting the ticket in the name of the individual attending. (Hence the consulting about genuine sharing of tickets etc and all that - one for another thread).
That's the amnesty.
I guess the only way the list reduces, is if those already on the list agree to come off the list, to have the season ticket they've been using transferred into their name. I don't know if that will be part of it or not - you'd think so wouldn't you but who knows and how would it be managed.
Don't expect it to drop thousands of places - the only thing doing that is an all general seating Anfield Road - of which there is officially currently no plans.
