The Mrs lost her dad just before Father's Day last year so it's all still a bit upsetting for her. As for my old man, he's one of those old moaning buggers who doesn't want anything, no clothes, books, dvd's etc.
He said just get him some food! So he's getting sausages, cheese and crackers, nuts, a haggis and some stubbies. He'll probably moan about that when I've gone home.
 Happy Father's Day everyone.

My dad is the same, he didn't even want us to get him a card. I made him one so he couldn't complain about me spending money. Though we did all go out for Sunday lunch as a family, there were 14 of us altogether. Sat out in the sun after, cracking day. Oh and he liked my card too :D

My 4 year old daughter decided that we needed to have a Fathers Day cake. And as the World Cup has featured prominently in our house, she chose an England Cake. I munched Fabio Capello. The wife was trying to feed me Wayne Rooney. My daughter picked first and decided to munch on Stevie. Poor Crouchie is still sitting unloved in a cake tin.

Probably too big for one portion.

My nipper/wife 'forgot'.  I've no problem with that as long as Mother's Day is now also struck off from the calendar.

EDIT - he's 18 months old by the way, hence why I'm pinning the blame on my wife. Read that back and realised I came across a bit Fritzl.

My daughter had a friend round for tea last night. She ate Rooney. Well, most of him, I found bits of him in the bin. Only Rio Ferdinand and John Terry left now. I seem to have lost my appetite, and it feels like child cruelty to feed them to the kids.

Happy Father's Day to all the dad's on RAWK !

Had a great start to today.  Watched the MOTD highlights programme with my lad who then proceeded to take my breakfast order.  A cooked brekkie was served up shortly after and I'm being taken out for lunch in a few hours.

Happy fathers day to those of us who:

Do everything they can for their kids
Pay every month without fail
Take them on holiday
Buy them new stuff (despite their mothers getting 2nd hand crap including school uniform from other kids)
Are a sympathetic ear to them when their mothers 6th boyfriend in 10 years is verbally abusive and bullying
Are constantly harassed for more money in a transparently self serving way to support their lifestyle
Send them to school with luke warm 50p super noodles as lunch and complain that you don't give them enough despite them working 3 days per week so they can claim a ton of benefits
Have to constantly buy socks and tights because the ones she goes to school in have holes
Listen to the defence and excuses about the latest live-in boyfriend who is a massive cn*t
Don't get to speak to their kids on Christmas, Birthdays or Fathers day because their calls are ignored

Happy fathers day

Really feel for Dads like you mate, you're the forgotten fathers and someone needs to stand up for you all.
