I take nothing to the bank, Lents told me that Madrid would be in the final and Barca were supposed to stuff Chelsea.

Probably the last chance for Chelsea's old guard to win the CL, can see them winning it to be honest.

Bayern won't bottle it. Chelsea will. It doesn't matter how defensive they want to be, Bayern will break them down fairly early on.

The Cole v Robben "battle" will be great. Cole will be a wreck by the end of the game

Ribery is shite and overrated to fuck.

But he's got 90 minutes up against Jose Bosingwa. If ever there was a time to pull the wool permanently over the worlds eyes and pretend you're a world class footballer, not a shite winger and a bellend to boot, this is it.

Just can't see Munich losing to be honest. They are strong all over the pitch and have home advantage. 3-1 to the good guys.

It's just a pity we won't get to see Terry crying on the pitch all over again. Hopefully Torres does himself a long term injury the twat.

I can actually see their CB's struggling with Drogba (most do). They aren't the two most reliable in the world.

In fact I think Badstuber is suspended?? If so who replaces him alongside Boateng..?

You would imagine Chelsea will play in a similar style to the semis, sit back, defend and try hit them on the counter.

I would expect Bayern to dominate possession as they did against RM but they defended the counter quite well in my opinion.
RM's counter is much more potent than Chelsea's.

I think the major difference between Bayern and Barca, is that Bayern are not as one dimensional (as Barca were in the semis), they like to attack from wide positions and through the middle.
Chelsea will not be able to simply swamp the centre with bodies, Bayern will stretch them out.

Bayern have 2 less games before the final, so could be fresher but Chelsea do have a bigger squad.

Bayern must be favourites to join us on five & stick one permanently on display...which is the only straw of comfort I'll be clutching if Chelsea win it.

I'm not sure they give them the trophy any more but they get a better replica (maybe full size where a normal winner would be 3/4 size or something). I think we are the last team who will be able to keep it.

In any case, Bayern will already have one to keep for winning it 3 times in a row in the 70s, hence the badge of honour here:

Gustavo, Alaba and Badstuber out. Most likely to see this:

Rafinha - Boateng - Van Buyten - Lahm
Tymoshuck - Schweinsteiger
front 4

Still a pretty solid line up if you ask me. Much better than Chelseas.

Of course, they do too. Still don't want them to get to five (petty I know), but if it keeps Chelsea on none...

Does anyone have an entire list of finals with teams playing a European final at home? Don't think it's too good. IIRC Last time it was Sporting Lisbon v CSKA Moscow at Lisbon and Moscow won. We won at Stadio Olimpico against AS Roma too. But  Inter won at San Siro in 1965, didn't they(yes that 1965)?
