Maybe due to a large number of copies being stolen in the UK last week

Don't let facts get in the way of a good story though. Imagine retailers adhering to a release date.

Fuck you fucking cu*ting bastards that I have to actually wait until the game comes out to fucking play it!!!

it'll be worth playing the other 3 games, they are great, with the second one being my personal fav of the lot thus far.

I'm stoked for this game now, but i'll probably not get it for a wee while yet, no money. :(

Picking it up in an hour or two, can't wait

Also tip from Druckman: take your time, take it all in and don't try and storm through it in one sitting like uc2

edit: just seen there is one, 5gb download so that's any chance of playing before work out of the window, at least if it comes before i go to work i can leave it in standby so it's done when i get home tonight

Very impressive, shame its not 60fps though. After playing the collection its definitely not going to feel as smooth despite looking better.

Fuck me what an intro

Edit: The writing and acting and little nods to the previous uncharted games is just phenomenal for a computer game. So much thought has gone into this. Hard to say much more without spoiling but it's just so incredibly done.

To sum up the opening hours of uncharted. It's a mix between Uncharted (obviously) and the last of us. You have the uncharted gameplay but the Cinematic feel of tlou, you can tell the story has definitely benefitted from Straley and Druckmann coming in halfway through. The uncharted series is known for great locales and set pieces but it's never connected that much story wise or characters, I mean I'm fond of Drake and the other characters that have cropped up throughout the series but I never felt too much of an attachment to them, I never understood them fully, I understand Drake more in three hours on uc4 than I did the past three games put together.

Just the leaping from handhold to handhold and the leaping around, sliding and timing jumps reminded me, as I say, in a good way

I know what you mean with the sliding, I only played the first new tomb raider so can't comment on the second but the leaping sections remind me alot of the first uncharted too.

The whole game seems to borrow all the best elements from the first three and you can feel it ramping up the more you play, you know your heading to that finale,  the final wrap.

Yep

Everything copies, but as long as you are moving things along, like this has, it's all good

Story certainly is constructed and moving along, ala TLOU

Was just about to order it as well on that money off thing for Prime Now, but it won't let me use a gift card (work sent me it for me birthday ;D ) anyone know if there's a way to apply it through the app?

It's picking it up when I go on amazon in the browser but prime now doesn't work in there so can't use the code.

Pre ordered this 15 months ago from Xtra-Vision because it was on offer. They decided to send me an email the day before it was released saying that the order had been cancelled, with no explanation....

Nice one, won't be using them again. Turns out a load of offers had been cancelled, basically everyone who had taken their offer.

fantastic game, got it yesterday and can't emphasis how good the game is. Definitely you can see the slightly different direction they have taken and is a bit "The Last of Us" and also what Uncharted 3 did as well. But the graphics are amazing and the story is just superb.

I also liked the added touch they did with

The jumps between the different times are really enjoyable, the pacing seems great so far and it is absolutely stunning. Great references to past games as well, really one for naughty dog fans to savour.

I love the Uncharted series, and I'm on
Spoiler
The Italian Villa level, big gunfight at the end
[close]
but so far I have to say I'm finding that it isn't grabbing me too much, it's beautiful to look at but the other Uncharted games grabbed me right from the start, this isn't, and the cut scenes are also far too long, I find myself skipping them out of sheer boredom, I'm sure it'll get better though.
