If anybody is interested, the All Blacks are having their hitout against Samoa this morning.

I went to a NZ v Samoa game at North Harbour back in 2001. I have absolutely no recollection of the game, just getting hammered! Is this on TV anywhere?

It's on Sky Sports 1, Nick. Samoa are doing okay so far it seems, New Zealand are 14-0 up after half an hour.

Samoa have bombed 2-3 great opportunities - have cut through a poor AB defence. "Somehow" the All Blacks are 21-0 up though.

Really low crowd numbers, who appear to be mostly Samoa supporters  ;D

78-0 it finished.

At least we have a benchmark for next week.  Anything under 50 points will be a success, I feel.

Went through the gears nicely after a somewhat dodgy start. Some of the offloads were ridiculous -a warning to the Lions, one thing to have line speed but if you don't tie up/put down your man there will be trouble.

The SBW/Lienert-Brown combo in midfield was really encouraging considering that is their first game together.

If we lose 40-0 next week I'd consider that a successful outcome.

If the players mentioned on the BBC get called up it's an absolute joke. Eddie Jones is spot on. Players should be picked on merit not proximity to New Zealand at the current time.

Is he really going to just add a load of random Welsh players for the sake of more numbers?

Gatland is making the Lions look a bit of a joke.

Now confirmed. Four random welshies added to the squad, simply because they are currently in New Zealand. All a bit strange with useful players left at home. It's not exactly tough for the England and Irish players to sit in a first class seat on a flight for a few hours.

Disappointing in a way but I can actually understand it. He wants none of the test squad to be involved at all for the remaining midweek games and the England boys wouldn't get there in time to be available to play on Tuesday.

Means we'll keep losing midweek though and feels like Lioks shirts are being handed out a bit cheaply but it's a tricky situation.

I think it is getting there to acclimatise and getting rid of jet lag in time.

Is it bad luck or fatigue, this tour has been a mix bag as if the team just can't move out of second gear and kept losing key players.

He knew his players for the tour though, he has had a couple of injuries so prepare and prepare the english players and irish players early last week.

That way, if there is another injury or one of those players hit fantastic form, he has more competition for places in test 2 and 3.

Can't wait this tours done so I don't have to try get behind the incompetence and poor coaching of Gatland anymore.

That's absolute nonsense to me. England and Ireland are already on tour. It's a few hours sitting in a seat to get there (or sleeping in first class). Very very easy. Hell Scotland just beat Australia a few miles away and are now 4th in the world. Some of the players left behind would push for a place in the starting squad so it feels like a bit of a missed opportunity, unless he calls them up in the coming days. These random welshies won't.

Really disappointed with that news. Meant to mean something earning  that shirt. Handing out to players because they are near is a joke. Slap in the face to everyone dragging their arses out of bed early and the fans saving for years to go there.

I don't think he is a poor coach. I suspect it was fucking politics by the Welsh rugby board to get as many players in there as possible.

Fair enough never heard of him! If he was going to call up English players he would have as to have done it a few days earlier for it to be worth while.

The Lions are a bit shit to watch. If it wins you games, fair enough, but I would've hoped to see some more attacking patterns show through by now. It's all a bit one dimensional.

Sexton playing well and linking with Davies, but for the love of God can someone finish a line break.

Maybe one of these random Welsh tourists with almost no international experience and somehow got a Lions call up can finish, but I doubt it..

Can't knock it too much, it is our only chance of winning I guess. On days like today you can take the boring jibes and have a chuckle. It's if we try this in the Test and get blown away we'll look a bit rubbish. That's to worry about next weekend though.

All eyes now on midweek. Looking forward to seeing how Rob Brydon plays at Fly Half and whether Katherine Jenkins really does have enough heft to be starting in the front row.

Unless he's thinking of pairing AWJ with Itoje, that has to be the test pack. Test XV if I'm being honest. Totally dominated them from start to finish. Yes, a try that doesn't come from the fatties rumbling through from a metre or two would be nice, but beggars can't be choosers.
