Lacazette is going to become some player, hopefully we can sign him in January or the summer.

Think Aloysius Paulus Maria "Louis" van Gaal will try to buy a defender.

Dug out this thread in order to say precisely the same thing. He would have fit in pretty seamlessly with our style of play from last year, in a way it appears Balotelli may never do. Seems to be able to switch with ease between playing wide or central, and knows how to finish. Lyon are hardly minnows but surely we could have prised him away for somewhere close to what we paid for Balotelli?

Only 1-1 for PSG. What has happened to Cavani? Incredibly poor performance. Pastore on the other hand was sensational. Was a bad move to sub him.

Blanc you are soon gone.

Still unbeaten.

But yes, far too many draws and throwing away leads.

Blanc has to go. Its been more than one season and they have hardly changed their team drastically. The spine of the team has been playing together for more than a season, yet they look so disjointed as a team, its crazy. Inspite of having so many talented players, they still end up depending to Ibra to bail them out.
A Liverbird upon my chest, we are the men of Shankly's best. A team that plays the Liverpool way, and wins the championship in May.

Second that. Blanc has actually weakened the team and they look pretty toothless this season. Let Menez go for free, let one of the academy's great prospects (Kingsley Coman) go for free to Juve, was about to lose Rabiot as well (and I think its bound to happen in the winter or come next June), froze out Lavezzi, replaced Alex with David Luiz (who, in my opinion, is overrated) and didn't suit his tactics to the players. PSG would be better off him, but who is next in the line - Mancini?

PSG can beat Barca who have a goal difference of 19-0 in La Liga but they struggle in Ligue 1. Is Ligue 1 a bit underrated perhaps? You won't find a lot of great teams and players there but perhaps not a lot of bad teams either.

Ben Yedder is proving that he was not just a flash in the pan. It is really good to see.He now just has to avoid getting injured.

Lacazette still has to score regularly to be considered a great striker. 5 of his 7 goals this season has come in 2 matches. I feel he needs to get a bit more involved in the general play for Lyon as it seems half the time his mind is fixed on how to take a shot.
Speaking of Lyon, anybody keeping an eye on Fekir. He has been really impressing me with his play.

Marseile are flying and Gignac is performing like he did in his peak a few years ago. PSG really shot themselves in the foot with the Luiz deal. They lost Menez for free and it seems are really trying to lose the top talents of their academy. I cannot believe how idiotic let their top talents to go to Juventus for a pittance. One positive for PSG has been the slight return to form of Pastore. He was a delight to watch in Serie A and like Alexis the league was poorer when they lost him.

There s been nothing slight about it, he has been sensational since the last few matches of last season.

The Cabaye signing was extremely disappointing when they had an extremely talented young player in Rabiot whom they should have put their faith in. Neither do I see such extraordinary depth in their squad that they couldn't give someone like Coman the opportunities that would've kept him happy.

It is unfortunate how the uber rich clubs like PSG, Chelsea would buy a player rather than give a chance to youth. I hope that Rabiot gets his move away because if he signs a new contract, i don't see him getting too many games.

Alexandre Lacazette scores a couple of more goals. Won't be a Lyon player for much longer. Would be perfect for a team like..you know ;)

Pastore was very good in PSG before Zlatan arrived and now when Ibra has been injured he is on fire. Coincidence? I think he needs that space to shine. Today there was a huge difference when Cabaye was subbed for the much better player Verratti. Verratti and Pastore is a joy to watch.

Lacazette with another goal today, 11 in 13, fires Lyon to second in the table. Le Classique later tonight, Bielsa's OM vs the multi-billionaires PSG.

:lmao Does Ibra ever past to Cavani, can't think of a period in a game where a player made it more obvious that he wasn't gonna pass to a team mate, than Ibra in the last few minutes in that game.

How Imbula was sent off I'll never know, stupid red card. Marseille should have scored in the first half when they were on top but capitulated in the second and have now let a 7 point lead slip to only 1 point in the league.

Mandanda's red and white jersey is one of the best shirts in world football. He wore it against us on a couple of occasions, during happier times. Always thought he was a little over-rated, but he's been excellent tonight. The revamped Velodrome looks magnificent. The game's been pretty good as well.

Ibrahimovic with a brace today, helped PSG turn the game vs Nantes around and win 2-1 as they remain the only team in Europe unbeaten in all competitions. His second was a stunning free-kick:

Just seen that PSG fell to a shock defeat to Guingamp earlier today. Marseille with a chance to gain some advantage and increase the gap to 4 points if they win away from home vs Monaco. The fixture is about to start.

PSG-Montpellier 0-0

Cavani was booed when subbed off today. He and Lavezzi should be sold in January because they are simply not good enough. Blanc on his way out also? Chelsea can relax PSG won't be a threat to them.

Really? Yes, Cavani is not scoring as much as he did in Italy (still 1 in 2 is not that bad, mind) and Lavezzi is not as influental as he was, but maybe thats down to Blanc's tactics and (mis)use of these two and not them being not good enough?

Amazing atmosphere at the Stade Velodrome. The crowd are bouncing so much the TV cameras are wobbling. Top of the table going into the Christmas break. Only caught the end, but Origi didn't do much for Lille. PSG will be down to third if Lyons win later today.
