I’ve finally made it. Year after year of seeing my post count creep up, I’ve finally reached 100,000 posts. Crikey.
Chakan, Tepid, Andy, Lobo…can you step it up a bit please and join me in the Sad Bastards Club? Bit lonely in here as I presume royhendo’s post count is made up.
Anyway, just thought I should mark the occasion before reflecting on my life choices. But what a website and community this place is. I’ve learnt so much from many knowledgable posters past and present, both about Liverpool the city, the football club and of course literally anything else you want to know about anything, ever.
Of course it can get a bit ugly at times, especially if things aren’t going well on the pitch but it’s still a mile better than anything else. And the things the site itself and the posters within it have achieved over the years is genuinely amazing. On that note I thought I should maybe give a couple of shout outs (mainly to confirm what little influence I have!).
1) Support RAWK! My post to donation ratio will be worse than most probably, and I know times are tough at the moment. But worth a reminder of how great this place is, and what a great job Claire, Ben and co do to keep it looking so good. Always a good reminder that they need some money off us to keep things going:
https://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=74199.02) Over the years I’ve been inspired by reading so many great things the fine people of RAWK have done. It’s always very humbling. There’s loads of things I could mention but wanted to give a shout out to Hij who still posts here a fair bit and is fairly active on Twitter (boo). Following him, he’s had a ton of struggles that he has done a great job of getting on top of. He recently did some fundraising for The National Autistic Society where he ran 100 miles in a month. It’s a matter close to his heart so I wanted to share the link just in case anyone feeling generous wanted to add to the great amount he’s already raised for a great cause:
https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/tomhigham1987Ok, I’ve probably written more in this one post than in my previous 99,999 one liners. Remember, read more, post less.
Sorry to anyone I’ve annoyed over the years. But not sorry for the bad jokes. Love you all.
