It would have been "interesting" to base the goalkeeper shirt on the Red Sox top.

No I said "based on" - not copied. A shirt that hinted at the Red Sox rather than copied.

Home kit seems nice.

As for the supposed 2nd and 3rd kits, lord have mercy.

Selling replica shirts is all about just that, selling. Who in their right fucking mind is going to buy those. They make literally no sense. Two years in a row they've gone for a "traditional" look 1st red kit and then gone utterly wild on the 2nd and 3rd. Keep it simple. When i see teams with these wild away kits it literally baffles me. Look at the Barcelona yellow one. Who wants to walk around looking like a human ice lolly. They've probably sold 1/100 v their other kits. It's lunacy.

The away shirt should be either all black or white pretty much identical in the simple style of the first kit. Third kit whichever you don't choose for the 2nd kit. It's all about marketing and selling, and trying to sell those 2nd and 3rd kits will be be impossible. They're ghastly. Worse than last years 3rd kit, and that's fucking special.

With a few exceptions, kits are always best when they follow a 'traditional' style, as in we are known for either white, yellow or black away kits. But lately blue, purple? Purple grey and orange? It's getting ridiculous.

I'm all for modernisation of football clubs, not getting stuck in the past, but that third kit is so far removed from a Liverpool shirt as you can get.

And while people might say 'it's just a kit' I've changed my tune a bit over the last few years. You still need to stick to your identity, or you lose it.

 :(

The more people laugh off silly kits, the more the idea that it doesn't matter rears its head and before you know it, you've done a Cardiff City and bowed to commercialism.

I hear what people are saying but after you go with the traditional Red-White-Yellow colours for the 3 kits where do you go from there? They have to mix it up to make sales otherwise you would all be saying "That away kit is the same as last years. All they have changed is the trim, im keeping last years". etc etc

I think a lot of people will change their minds on the away kit when it gets released/we play in it. The pattern makes it quite interesting but the rest of it is a really clean look so I think it will look nice when its not a 'concept'.

Third kit will go down as my choice for worst ever liverpool kit.

Has anybody seen the back of the away and 3rd kit? Because if thats the shite on the front, christ knows what could be on the back! it could be an entire cascade of those diamond patterns or a huge fuck off tribal print or something. Nothing is beyond the realms of possiblities with Warrior

It'll be plain, due to the numbers and name having to go there.

That doesn't mean anything, not every single football is plain on the back so the name and number can go there, a lot of kits have patterns on the back (mainly a simple stripe or something tasteful) but these are a few examples which ours could resemble

You could easily go yellow, year after white, year after black, year after black with yellow, year after white with red etc. Three colours that you keep switching between and there's loads of possibilites. You don't have to suddenly go Green with Pink stripes.

And how old are those kits? I'm pretty sure that the back of the away and 3rd kits will be plain for the most part. Just like they were this season.

The White keepers kit might be a marketing exercise.

Test the waters to see how it sells relative to previous keepers kits. If it is successful, it juuuust might be possible that a tweak of the design becomes next seasons Away kit.

But of course you've thought of that already...;)

I don't have a problem with the away and the 3rd kit. They are obviously designed for a different target group, and people like myself will not be buying them. But, on the other hand, I like the home and the (short-sleeved) goalkeepers kit, so I probably would be getting both of them. I think that Warrior know exactly what they are doing.

Personally love the third kit, think it'll be a belter when worn like the current third kit which is by far my favourite of the current 3.

Bingo! I think they've done a nice job with the classic red, plus some different styles.
The goalie shirt reminds me of the red striped white of a few yrs ago, which was one of my favorites.

That home kit is absolutely amazing! I thought this seasons kit was good but that is very very nice!
And those two away kit pictures that are being shared around are not real. Nobody in their right mind would put a kit that disastrous to production. If our away kits look like that I will walk around with an Everton kit for a week.

Simply cannot afford new kits anymore.

However, if you don't mind wearing 'old' kits.........this seasons home shirt is on sale at the club shop for £15.  Yes £15!  And if you have a Members card you get 10% off making it £13.50

Outstanding value that is.

We got kitted out yesterday for £54.

The "Liverpool FC" in the stripes comes across a bit small time to me. We know it's a Liverpool shirt! . . .
[rant]
For me this is where its at, if you can't tell at a glance which team's kit it is then it fails as a concept, you don't need the piddling little details.   You don't even need to see the logo on a classic kit to know the team.  As for colours, fuck me they'll be doing a blue one next.  :butt

Its wrong to get wound up about a shirt, particularly a '3rd kit', but if these clueless wankers want to express their creativity they should go to art college rather than working in a sports shop.  Either that of fuck off to fashion week.

The irony is that good design is often unnoticed, it doesn't try to steal the show, it just does its job - beautifully.  If LFC was a boot, I would see it in terms of Copa Mundials rather than a pair of pink Nike Mercurials.
[/rant]
