Whats pissing me off at the minute is when I downloaded a few comedy stand up gigs from itunes then put them on my ipod, they always end up out of order when I play them.

So it'll start in the middle of the gig and then play the intro anywhere but where it should be, like at the beginning.

Hardly worth downloading stuff like this if it plays all jumbled up.

Anyone have any ideas?

Maybe it's vista, but when iTunes loads up the screen is black and the visible text is inverted until I minimize and maximize again. Although not that big a deal, it is annoying, how can I get around it?

I had the same problem on XP, it's just itunes being an absolute bag of piss.

Anyway, has anyone got their Ipod Touch and hacked it yet?
Aye lad, whens the remix coming out?

Is there any way to add album art to the whole album insted of just adding to each song because for some reason it wont let me.

Search for the album mate so that you've just got the songs from the album you want showing. Highlight the top track, go to edit and select all. Right click and get info. Then click yes you do wanna edit multiple info

I don't quite know what you mean. When I download stuff it comes either with a date or an episode number. They are listed behind "Music" in "Podcasts" in reverse order, newest at the top.

Why don't you give them track numbers? Intro is 1, part 2 is 2 etc and let it know how many there are and if you have it set to play full albums it'll always order them correctly and play the full thing, or join them all together and follow Nidge's guide to make it into an audiobook and then you can chapter it up and iTunes/iPod should remember the last played position of it and give you more control over it.

Any iPod set up is the same, take it out of box, hook it up to your machine, iTunes will do the rest.

Aren't all the tracks on your old iPod in your library on the computer?

If they're not, you'll need one of the many iPod backup apps to transfer everything over to your PC and then add it to the iTunes library, then you can copy everything onto the new iPod.

No claire I have something like 35 Gig stored on my old iPod, I couldnt keep that much in my Itunes Library, my laptop would fall over & die!

Might have to use one of those back-up apps, Do you know if I can transfer it over 10 Gig at a time?

The problem we are having Claire is that it says ipod cant sync because there is not enough free space, is that due to my missus having too many songs in her i tunes collection, do we just have to delete some ?

Maybe i should read the instructions i downloaded yesterday  ::)

I'm scared of itunes and having used it to enable hard disk access am now using Floola to add my music to the ipod. Seems to be going ok and most importantly I feel in control of the process...

It's already annoyed me by insisting on installing quicktime at the same time as itself. It's like inviting a girl out that you're not even that into and then finding she's brought along her kid brother.

It has a volume limiter thing on it, it might be enabled or set to some silly level, it's in different places on the various models, but settings would be a good place to start.

Mine can all go stupidly loud ;D

The lovely missus has just got me a 80gb iPod classsic for Chrimbo.  My question is. Can I sync to it using Winamp (which I currently use to organise my music on PC) or will I need to download I-choons?

I think you have to download Itunes and run it once to get the ipod installed properly Kev. Then you can enable hard disk access, disable auto run Itunes when ipod connected and use winamp or whatever.

bigal, bear in mind leaving your iPod in a dock charges it everytime it's in there and it will degrade the battery life fairly quickly, if you can, get one without a charging dock.

The music can be from pretty much anywhere. Imported from CD, downloaded off a Limewirey style program, torrents, and purchased from the iTunes store.

You just have to import them into iTunes to add them onto your iPod. Same goes for videos, but they have to be in the right format to play on the iPod. MPG I think.

Nice one, I have loads of music, I was just worried that it had to be from iTunes, and the videos, does iTunes have a converter or will I have to change the format myself???

Anyone reccomend any sites I can get films off or just torrents?

I think iTunes has a converter, but it's only good for small clips/vids. Full length movies would take forever to convert.
