When you click on the score, you'll see the sub they made at half-time

Game's been suspended cos of a storm

Wish it'd come 45 minutes earlier if there's an actual injury

Van Dijk withdraws for personal reasons?

Hopefully the reason is he wants to win the league!

He missed Liverpool training last week (Thursday iirc). When Klopp was questioned during the pre-City press conference he replied it's private and left it at that. The journos didn't even seem to push too hard as though they understood.
I'm guessing there really is an issue but VVD wanted to be there for 2 v important games for club and country. Hope it's not too serious whatever it is.

He was in the Netherlands meeting with the Royal Family!

But yes, hopefully the reason for him leaving the Dutch squad now isn't anything to serious.

He missed training last week didn't he, before the City game? Klopp said it wasn't injury related.

Best wishes to Virgil and (I assume) his close ones for whatever might be going on behind the scenes, if that is the case of course.

I wouldn't worry, I'm pretty sure Liverpool training sessions are played at more than twice the intensity of the Montenegro game, and Ox was subbed off early in that game also. In fact, I'd say the Ox could do with the game time.

Those complaining about Trent being picked, he hasn't always had the chance to play for England, its a opportunity for him to claim a proper starting place in the team. Not at all surprised, the likes of Kane, Maguire and Chilwell have also had both performances as well. It will be interesting to see how Oxlade-Chamberlain does in his second game also. He needs to start being able to play in more games, hope he does well. We are not playing until Saturday anyway.

You thick c*nt Southgate. Didn't think TAA was worthy of an appearance in the last round of games now he overplays him in the middle of a heavy period of games. He better be subbed off. If the idiot puts him in midfield again cos he saw it discussed on sky..

How dumb that we have to wait all the way to Tuesday for our Brazilian trio to play another greed induced money grabbing friendly and be released from duty. At least it isn't too far away in Abu Dhabi.

So glad that everyone else is back/done with internationals already.

I do wonder if Keita settled on the left hand side of the midfield whether Gini would move to the right and take Henderson's role. But the way the players are performing the way in is through an injury.

It has to be remembered he was playing against Estonia who got 1 point form 8 games.

He also plays a different position for us.

We have 12 goals form midfield this season which isn't too bad
