Are there any sites which have stats regarding stuff like getting caught out by balls over the top or losing concentration?  I'd fully expect Trent to have really high tackling and interception stats because of the way we play the game with our high press.

And I said average for a top level fullback.  Compared to players like Kimmich.

Less flippantly (because your good natured response deserves credit), I'm not sure that is possible to measure - and its not something I think is something that is sufficiently obvious from eye-test to ascribe to TAA's game. Gary Neville sounds a lot like Alex Jones when he drones on about mythological deficiencies in Trent's game. Attacking fullbacks get caught out of position more than defensive ones. Its not an error - its tactical, because we don't have teleporting fullbacks just yet.

I also don't think its really fair to describe Kimmich as the standard for average top level FB - he's the only one in the world who is close to TAA - and he is better defensively, but worse offensively. TAA is still way above average defensively compared to all the other great fullbacks,

Only time I remember Trent truly being caught out defensively (and not through our system) and by balls over the top was against United in at a guess 17/18? When they scored two identical goals from Lukaku flick-ons. He seemed to learn almost instantly from that, which is all you can ask from a young player really.

Think there was a city match where Sane had also rinsed him constantly. But yeah, don't remember many examples of that happening. Maybe because he got caught out in mostly high profile matches, the mistakes (or whatever the right word is there) are unfairly focussed on.

He had quite a few difficult games that first season. There was obviously the Utd game and I seem to remember him really struggling against Zaha. But that Champions League game were City targeted him but he kept Sane, one of the form players in Europe, in his pocket. That was his breakthrough moment.

Maybe it's the hair, maybe it's because he's a bit older, but I think he looks cool as fook right now. His is going to be a Liverpool iconic look, just like Souness with the moustache and perm.

If I still had hair I'd be going to the hair dresser and asking for an Alexander-Arnold. It would look ridiculous on me though.

What a player; seems to be moving more into the centre now and salah staying out wide..
It’s not even about individuality, it’s about the team. Our game was based on his controlling of the tempo. Squeeze the life out of the opposition and then strike. That is our game. Like a pack of pythons.

Great game from him tonight vs Atletico. Two assists, where the first was a perfect ball for Jota. The second… I think it was a shot, but another assist still. Must be a nightmare to be up against a side where the RB can be a leading threat.
