And normal service is resumed. No idea what VVD was doing for their goal or why Milner wasn't on penalties. But we kept giving the ball away again and again and just looked like we didn't want it as much. The team always do what you least expect. As soon as they start getting talked up they put in another performance like this.

Apart from the goal line clearance I don't think we had any other close chances. Should convert the penalty but clearly Mo is ahead of Milner in the pecking order now for whatever reason.

Thought Hendo and Bobby had very little effect and only slowed us down.

I mean, honestly, this was such a predictable outcome. Last week, team up for the big derby, 7-0. This week, away from home against relegation strugglers, dominant without being threatening, one eye on the game midweek, of course they end up losing, it's been the theme of the season. Can't read too much into big results, can't get upset about the bad ones.

Fair result. We weren't good, and it did feel like one of those days where every loose ball seems to land straight to a Bournemouth player. We were really poor though and that second half was one of the easiest halves Bournemouth will have this season. It felt like we were playing with 9 men, and I really hated our subs. Having 4 players on the last man and two midfielders scrambling around/losing every second ball made it difficult to sustain any kind of pressure. I just knew we would miss that penalty too. If Milner's on the pitch he should take them really.

Poor, poor result ahead of a difficult run of fixtures and after a really good win against United. I do feel like this team pick and choose when to show up which is really disappointing.

Game overall was very us. Missed some decent chances although pretty much all early, awful on transition defence, can't sustain any kind of performance over 90 minutes. Second half was embarrassingly bad though. Goal down against one of the worst sides in the league and we created next to nothing outside the penalty, no sustained pressure, no nearly moments. I'm guessing it was about managing minutes but Nunez and Trent coming off when chasing a goal seemed a poor decision at the time worse in hindsight

Lost to the bottom team in the league who had one aimless punt upfield and one shot on target.

When we go behind we never really seem like we know what to do. Not one player played anywhere near his form. We take one step forwards and then one back.

If teams setup to defend and get in front then we just have no idea.
