I have watched
In my sixty plus years real life and in my Liverpool Time Machine I have watched from memory Sam Hardy, Elisha Scott, Arthur Riley, Matt McQueen, Tommy Lawrence, Bruce Grobbelaar, David James, Pepe Reina, Jerzy Dudek and The Fantastic Ray Clemence.

Take a Bow Alisson Ramses Becker because you are..

                                                                                 ...The Greatest...
Now while he is the greatest at the moment, anyone stood behind Ray Clemence year after year knows who is the greatest. Give it a few more years.

To be fair that is quite an advantage as a keeper having someone standing behind you. It is a bit like having a back stop as a wicket keeper.

It’s fucking outrageous that sky analyses a throw in decision before the goal.

Hours and hours saying VAR is bad then looking at marginal decisions on slow motion 14 actions before a goal

You could choke on the hypocrisy

It’s a match that even if Spurs had scored I am still confident we could win by out scoring them. Their team just looked short on confidence.

I thought we lifted our foot off the pedal as soon as Firmino had put us in the lead.

Great result.

Some weird response from the press (Football 365 particularly) but who gives a fuck.

I’ve no doubt that if Spurs had scored one of those chances, we’d have shifted up a gear and gone on to win 3-1 or 4-1 btw.

I'm glad you mentioned Ray Clemence because as a young lad he's my abiding memory of my first game, to be honest because of how big his nose was compared to how it looked on Match of the Day but he was one of my favourites and I was fucking pissed off when Shilton kept getting the nod for England. (To the younger ones, England mattered to a few of us back then.)
As I grew older and started having a bit of nous about the game, it dawned on me how good he was, how there was never any panic from the defenders because they were aware of the class that they had behind them. Well we're seeing this phenomenon again. Alisson could yet be the best there ever was. He was so good today, I reckon most people have no idea.
Loved clemence but for me Alison is better

Better team won. As we mostly tend to do....

Absolute machine.

Both teams were sloppy at times, especially in 2nd half. But no doubt we deserved it.
Robbo shouldn't have been sent off, throw in drama is just ridiculous...there wasn't a handball...

We have Martin Tyler abandoning his actual job as a commentator and fretting about Son hitting the post in October 1919 and "what would have been", and we have Martin Atkinson not having his worst game but still being absolutely atrocious at his job.
He gets more embarrassing every game. I'm sure he said we should have scored more goals while we on top like another team earlier in the day did. The mighty Man Utd against bottom of the table Norwich at Old Trafford. Silly old fucker.

Unreal really.  Spurs are the home team, ambitions of finishing in the top four and a goal down.  Our right back is pretty much in line with their back six while their designated right-back is almost holding hands with the central defender and their second right back is running back in.

I think had Ben Davies been fit Mourinho would have gone with double full-backs on both sides.

All that horseshit from Mourinho in the build-up about how losing Kane wouldn't let him play the way he wants.  Pull the other one, he would have been delighted today to line-up 6-2-2-0 without having to drop Kane and gets loads of stick for doing so.

Who cares. Henderson didn't handle it. Also there were a couple of instances that went Spurs' way (like stopping the game when there was no head injury and a couple of fouls that weren't given). Losers always whine.

Allison is a top keeper, the best around I would say. However, Clemence was the best I have seen and was so for many years. The only flaw was Clem's kicking but Allison's isn't the best either.

I’d go Allisson, much the same sort of display as the CL Final. Didn’t need to make any amazing saves but he was so secure, held everything.
I agree. He instils such calmness into our side.
