Not only did he stitch up all the good guys he came out of it looking like a hero. superb.
Going to be interesting listening to his dying confession.
Watching the re run of series 3 this week, still gripping watching it a 2nd time.
I wouldn't be surprised if Polly Walkers character does a lot of the dirty work this series, Hastings is going to find himself in the nick before he knows what hit him. then again he could be blackmailed into covering it all up.

It might take our producers five minutes to find 60 economists who feared Brexit and five hours to find a sole voice who espoused it.

To be honest I haven't looked at the cast for this series and if shes not in the series am probably way out. I thought this series would carry on from the last one, maybe not I would rather find out when it starts.
Hastings was given a doctored file by Polly Walker, he told her to resign otherwise he would nick her with all the rest of the other bent coppers involved with the case.
Hastings had threatened her in one earlier episode and she told him something on the lines of. you've made a mistake in your career haven't you and just left it at that.

Watched it from the get-go. Sister started to watch from Series2 n I told her to watch Series 1 to fully understand what was going on.
Having said that ref Series 4 - who thought Daniel May would have croaked in the first episode of series 3 and that Keely Hawes wasn't mentioned in any cast list - I can't wait for this

Cant wait myself, the writing and acting is superb.
Good job am not one of the coppers in the show, I would be locking someone up one week and letting them go the next week.  :)
Mentioned this series and Happy Valley to a few people, best on tv for me

Not sure which direction the main story arc is going from here on.

Likely both :)

That really was as good as anything currently being broadcast as a massive budget series from anywhere for me, not in any blockbustery way, just tight scripting, use of fictional personalities and conflicts. A good 9 O clock slot three days in a row at the moment with follow the money, this and Broadchurch. Thursday's Prime suspect 1973 is easy on the ear and eye also. First time in my life there's been 2 things on ITV I plan to watch every week.
