I can understand the notion of "exposing their weaknesses" by avoiding Carroll when we play a team like Stoke, however surely people cannot be serious that a team bottom of the league with an awful defensive record and first team players missing can be defeated with Carroll in the team. I know we make life hard for ourselves but if the lad can't get onto the pitch today then it's not looking good for him at all. Should twat these but will probs be a narrow 1-0 as well as the obligatory hit of the woodwork

I was thinking Bellamy would play, but if he played in this game then he'd be unlikely to start against Newcastle, so I guess it makes sense.
