I do, though I'm always wary of sequels/prequels to classic films long after they first came out. It's one of the many reasons the new Ghostbuters is probably going to be rubbish.

Haven't seen BvS but from seeing clips/trailers and reading comments about it, I have little interest. Suicide squad on the other hand looks pretty awesome.

Well, I really wouldn't go by trailers anymore - BvS looked epic from the trailer. They've just made a number of re-shoots to brighten the tone.

But I really wouldn't be surprised if this was a marketing ploy to get all the kids hyped for it.

Best Superhero film?

I saw The Trust the other day.

I think Nicolas Cages's awful run of shit films which has been about 10 years now is finally over.

In  those quirky roles he is so much better.

Joe, Bad Lieutenant are good, and he was great in Kick-Ass imo. But those are the few good ones in a sea of shite.

Joe - 2013
Kick-Ass - 2010
Bad Lieutenant - 2009

All three of those were excellent and fairly recent, he's made some whopping great turkeys though so nice to hear he's made something decent for a change ;D

I absolutely love Cage in Vampire's Kiss. I think he's a fantastic wacko comic actor, but his dramatic high points are also incredibly good (Leaving Las Vegas, for one).

Matchstick Men was a good one too, but even that is over 10years ago. Twitchy Cage is a magical sight !!

Watched this tonight - turned it off - I love a good Nic Cage film, but this just bored the life out of me and I don't even think Cage could save this one.

Oh... and Bilbo Baghead is in it - that lad could ruin a porno.

Midnight Special was a massive disappointment, barely made any sense and frankly, it was boring!

Baskin wasn't great either, a few interesting ideas but the actors were dreadful. Obviously made for next to fuck all so I applaud what they tried to do.

Watched The Invitation tonight.

Interesting film, didn't see any trailers or read the synopsis, have to say i pretty much enjoyed it.

Pretty much a film with a dark underbelly thats worth watching right to the very last scene, actually the last shot.

Well worth a watch.

The Invitation:

Spoiler
Did anyone get the feeling that they were in some kind of hell?

I thought that the character make-up lent itself to some kind of repentance - everyone that was at the party had, by the account of religion, committed some act of sin. I'm not too clued up on the old testament, but it seemed like they all had some kind of skeleton in their closet - the only one person who didn't seem to have left the party.

I genuinely didn't know what to make of it, but I've seen people say that the ending was symbolising that the whole town were in the cult.

Watched Hush last night and it was a fairly interesting take on the genre.
A deaf woman has to defend herself and her home from a crazed killer.
I mean it's formulaic and isn't a great film but it held my attention and had some tense scenes and moments and is fairly brutal in places.

I didn't get any of that from it at all to be honest. The girl who left early got killed in her car by the big guy. I don't see what skeletons the chubby guy had (marriage problems?), or the black girl or the Korean couple.

The red lights seemed to be just around the hills rather than the whole of LA. If the cult was that big a thing, I would think non-cult people would have heard of it.

I enjoyed it, thought it was a good little thriller. It was good how they played the whole 'is he mad or are they mad' thing. At one point you're thinking is he just cracking up and just being paranoid. Without that as a red herring, it would have been more obvious that something was not right, and it would have lessened the tension.

Recently seen The Invitation, Hush and Coherence. All really good films, in both similar and different ways.

The Invitation is a super slow burn psychological thriller, excellently crafted, from directing to acting to script and cinematography.

Hush is kind of hunter/prey thriller with a unique-ish twist; the main character is mute and deaf.

Coherence is also a psychological thriller with a really interesting concept which I don't really want to spoil at all.

The chubby guy killed his wife - the Asian couple seemingly did drugs (she liked Cocaine), the black girl was in an interracial relationship. I was only thinking, by some religious beliefs, aren't these acts frowned upon?

Saw Ant-man the other day. It was rather shit.

Also watched The Confirmation. I liked it.  Both Clive Owen and the kid who played his son were good and I tell you what. Comedy is not as it's been listed. At least not exclusively. Deals more with Owen's problems and society's main ones in extension (at least a couple of powerful scenes about that) and how it affects his relationship with his son and the building/bonding of it.
Messi in fact doesn't have a recognizable trait.

Current version is watchable but not perfect....

The BR release date is May 10th and it's usually 2 weeks prior to that date that decent copies will be "available" so shouldn't be long if you want to hang on :wave
