Sounds good the beach. Looked at Paphos. Is room only at hotel the better option?
I suppose its all based on what you want from a holiday.
We're quite happy with light breakfasts and dinner and just a couple of drinks in the day, plus the missus prefers going out of a night and being waited on, rather than the buffet scramble, so we tend to do S/C. Paphos tied in with a lot of footy, I can't be arsed sitting watching games while away on holiday, but the kids love it, insist I go watch the game with them and she always wants to watch when her lot are on, so we go find a bar to watch in - us twatting them 5-0 at O/T ruined the Sunday for her though
We found a few nice and cheap restaurants local to our hotel and just outside the town, which was a 20 minute walk. We ate at the harbour the first night, that was OK but a bit pricey. Missus wants to do more nights in the town this year as it was a bit quieter where we were hanging out.
Did AI in Turkey and ate like a pig and drank too much, which is a killer for me, but we had 3 a la carte meals, so that kept her happy
Because it was cold of a night, we ended up having to sit in the hotel bar, but there was no music or entertainment, so was a bit flat, we went across the road to a pub 3 or 4 nights. We're doing A/I in Tenerife in Feb, first night we'll eat at the hotel, but we will go out for meals of a night the rest of the time, as the night food is a bit meh and the holiday is cheap at £2300 for the 4 of us so we don't mind.
