The Daily Mail have a photo of what is a small crack on the City bus window which is supposedly evidence of a ‘missile’ being thrown at it.

Love to see a pic of the bus leaving Manchester with that crack well and truly already in place!
Look up "Odious" in the dictionary and Martin Samuel is the given definition.  Call me Klopphooey please.

I'm not condoning such an action..but if others see City getting away with this it may well encourage others (we can guess who) to do same .and Liverpool fans might then take retribution into there own hands.

The authorities need to stop this now!!

Yes, it has that feel, doesn't it.  And then the whole country can blame 'scousers' and it'll be just like the 80s again.
I don't agree, he'd go to Legoland. Bye.

Out of interest, if Klopp’s comments have allegedly provoked yesterday’s chants, what’s the justification for them booing the minutes silence in April? The bus again, I assume?
The koppaberg one (outside of the stadium by the way) has a lot to answer for in their eyes.

Just saw the photo. I could be wrong, but was it not dark (or darker than that photo) by the time they left Anfield last night, after the game?

Anyway, I would suggest that security could confirm whether or not there was a crack in a bus window before it left the stadium.

Also, xenophobic ? That club disgusts me.

Criticising oil states = xenophobia. Therefore no one should ever point out anything bad that they do. PS there’s a crack in our window.

Totally agree with all that is said above.

That said, we cannot give other clubs any excuse at all to (in their words) balance the argument with anything our fans do, it's difficult but then we totally need to ensure any fans near opposing teams dugouts behave themselves in particular. We all know violence is escalating and player/staff safety is becoming an issue. Throwing anything in that area must be stopped.

If that sounds like I am balancing the argument in any way, it's not. We all know that 10% of one thing and 90% of another always looks like 50/50 in the media (or worse, the other way round). Just don't give the pricks the 10%.

They have done. United slashed ours once for persistent standing I believe.

We had cut their allocation at Anfield for the two previous seasons. It was Liverpool city council who advised that though because of persistent standing.

Just read the BBC article.  Absolutely shameful report from whoever the fuck Simon Stone is.  What an utterly odious shitbag he is.   Got to be a mouthpiece for Sportswash FC.

His twitter feed is a disgrace. @sistoney67

He’s a City reporter, based in Manchester. He’s tweeted the LFC statement (without comment) but also signposted articles he’s wrote on Pep being “attacked”, Klopps “ref abuse” and tweeted a photo of a broken bus window.

seen the pic of the bus window. if that is the incident they are on about then 100% they are lying, as mentioned earlier, its light in that photo. it was dark when i left the ground so would be even darker when the city bus left with police escort who as yet haven't mentioned anything.   bit like the £2.50 the fraud claimed were thrown at him, again if something like that had happened the police/stewards would have moved in and everyone would have stood up to look like usual-none of this happened yesterday.

To be fair Stoney and most of the Guardian shills on the City payroll are probably a few weeks a way from joining the chants themselves. Disgusting.

so also most 24 hours since the game and the City PR machine courtesy of Her..sorry His Majesty's Press moving into full effect...big coverage of ( still) alleged coin throwing , alleged stone throwing at coach and the comments by Klopp on stage funded clubs inciting 'trouble' and the Ukraine war.

Yet no apology or acknowledgement of club of vile chanting by substantial numbers of  their fans.

We are not the community to ignore such things

Doesnt matter, they've got their story out, that's all they need. Like Alan smith and the ambulance which also neglected from 6000 Mancs chanting about Hillsborough.

Or more pertinent, like Paris, get your diversionary story out first, that becomes the received wisdom.

All these media outlets and dickhead fans trying to pin the blame for the chants on a comment from Jürgen need to be asked to explain why they've been chanting them for 30 odd years!

It's fucking tedious how pure and pristine everything connected with our club has to be when every other club can continue to abuse us.

It's definitely getting worse. The scale of the fuss about the national anthem booing has made it open season on us from other fans even more and we're low hanging fruit to deflect onto. Whether it's UEFA or Manchester City.

Just slash the allocation of away fans every time this happens. Send a bill to the opposing club for the damage.
Other clubs would be entitled to do the same if we misbehave.

It seems to be a growing problem where people can sing and chant anything they want (and that goes for other sports and public places).

Not sure how you can use what Klopp said to infer that this flamed the City fans.

“There are three clubs in world football who can do what they want financially,” Klopp said, referring to City, Paris Saint-Germain and Newcastle United, who have backing from Gulf states.

He was just stating a fact and said that they do not have the financial ceilings that the other clubs have. That appears to be a fact and the only reason for objecting to this is that City are afraid that something will be done about it. They do not want to play to the same rules as the rest of the clubs and they want to cheat their way to the top.

It's also a typical whataboutery and deflection tactic that organisations do to muddy the waters. The simple thing would be to condone what their fans did but, no, their poor fans did it because of what Klopp said.....pure and utter bollix.

This should be standard practice for when any death-mocking fanbase turn up at Anfield. Cut their allocation by a thousand after every season they persist with it. The likes of Abu Dhabi, Chelsea, Everton and the Mancs would have no allocation at all within three seasons if they didn't knock it off.

Also, the away end should be more heavily policed and individual offenders dragged out and arrested right in front of the rest of them. The message will soon start getting through. It won't stop them being brainless scum, but it might start eradicating this filth from the actual ground itself. They do it because they get away with it time after time after time... It's only when actions start having consequences that they will rein it in. It might also see the decent human beings within the away support starting to self police too and pressure the morons to behave.

As a club and support we need to be squeaky clean when it comes to our own actions.  A few in our own fanbase need to take note and make sure that none of these clubs with their vile fans and vile chants have any comeback on our own fanbase.

that report says it all:
"although City sources have told ESPN that the chants were an unfortunate consequence of comments made by Klopp in his prematch news conference when he said rival clubs could not compete with the wealth of Gulf-owned clubs such as City, Paris Saint-Germain and Newcastle United."
no, they were a consequence of hatred to the dead innocents... its discraceful, and this:
"but sources have told ESPN that no action will be taken against City for failing to control their supporters unless it can be proved that the chants were discriminatory, such as if they were racially motivated or an anti-gay."
so the "sources" in the FA, are saying chants about the deaths of innocents are ok, because they arent racist or gay..
