--- Quote from: ScottishKopite on August 8, 2024, 03:15:12 pm ---Driving down on Sunday, was going to book parking in the city centre and head out for food and a bit off shopping after the game but giving that a miss now. I would like to park closer to Anfield and not have to walk from city centre to Anfield then double back on myself picking car up then driving passed Anfield towards the motorway heading north.
I have seen on Just park there is two Asda’s in Bootle £5 parking for Sunday £15 cheaper than Q Park was going to be. I seen it can take an hour to walk, has anyone used this parking before and is it okay and recommend?
After the game I will be heading in the correct direction back to car up past aintree onto motorway really can’t be arsed walking back to the city centre for the car or dealing with taxis and buses.

I use the Asda on Utting Avenue, £5 on Your Parking Space and is about a 25min walk up to Anfield. Right side of Anfield as well if you’re heading on the M62 or East Lancs

Asda Bootle, is a lot further than you think walking to Anfield.
Probably looking at 45 minutes +
your best bet would be to walk through to the strand bus station get the 68 bus (£2 flat fare)
which drops you off at Stanley park, although afterwards you are screwed due to Road closers
for the sake of £5 I would either cancel it and get somewhere else

Cheers for this information with the bus just checked times will get the bus to Priory Rd bus stance 6 thanks for the heads up. After the match I’ll no be in a hurry getting back to the car might hang back to get to the shop see what happens if lucky with a taxi might jump one.
Danny Boys Dad:
Anyone know what happened to the car park on WBR between the Stanley and the bottom of the hill?
There was a police van parked in the entrance on Saturday, no sign of anyone using it.
We’ve parked there for a while now, used to be ok, shame if it’s gone.
