Only thing in struggling with now is hotel.
Might stay about 5 miles out as it's a bit cheaper and tickets of course 😀
Try Bochum. It's the next town out of Dortmund. We booked 12 of us at the Ibis opposite the main station and it was only £35 per night

just got on this, half the price of the Dortmund ibis. That bit about your room might be cancelled if no show before19:00, does that bit where you put your credit card details in guarantee your room after that time? Expecting to arrive 21:00-2200.

What do people reckon will be the situation with ticket collection? Is it likely to be done for such a big allocation? And if so, was the name transfer easily done for Augsburg for someone else to use a ticket?

According to bahn.de website there are regular trains running to Bochum up until 00:53 and then hourly from 1:45am.

Anyone?

Yes it was easy to transfer to someone elses name.

They will probably have a ticket collection over there but they shouldn't bother for this fixture because it will be in high demand and we will get a lot of tickets.

For me the ticket collections should only be done for trips to Russia/Ukraine and places like that as they are hard to get too for most(Visa's required etc).

The ticket collection things are a good idea when the allocation is small in remote places but it looks like most people are doing the minimum amount of days/time here - get there Thursday, fly back Friday. I don't see them trying to organise 3000+ tickets to be given out on the Thursday - they can't do city centre as not everyone will head there or have enough time for that looking at some flight times. They could do the ground or a hotel right next to it, but asking for problems if there are any delays or issues or a lot turn up at once. For this one - I just don't see it happening.

Gutted I'd need to seriously be lucky to get a ticket for this. Been wanting to go to Dortmund for ages, even better it's against Liverpool. Almost tempted to just travel anyway...

Can't really see why the club set up a personal ticket collection. But you dont need to collect your ticket yourself
Isn't the point that if you don't travel you don't buy a ticket and someone interested in traveling will get the opportunity to buy that ticket?!

But if someone else can collect your tickets it still bought in your name and I assume you get them credit?
Or will the one collecting get the credit instead?

Yeah but this way you don't need to turn up, you can just send someone else..
But I agree it's a step in the right direction, but still think if they gonna have a collection point all tickets should be collected in person.
But with 3k tickets that's not really possible this time.

Sorry I have to apologizes in advance for my naivety.
I have never managed to go to away match in Europe, but I have just moved close to Dortmund and would love to go.  I cant find any information on how to buy tickets on the LFC website - can anyone tell me when tickets will be available?
Thanks
