Thank Fowler we're not getting Caulker
Ljinders has confirmed that Gordon is back in training but not in contention for tomorrow. It's a shame and also increases the likelihood of Mane starting.
One small error in the OP,The recently deceased owner of PNE was Trevor Hemmings not Eddie Hemmings. (Thanks Duvva !) andthanks for the thumbs up Hazell, Duvva, Medellin, Yorky, Ghost town, Kavah.
Eddie Hemmings is a legendary English cricketer from the 80s - didn’t get picked until his mid 30s, but played for around ten years.
No he’s not. He’s a retired sports commentator from Aigburth who covered Liverpool’s late 1970s glory days for Radio Merseyside. In subsequent years he did RL coverage for Sky.
We already have shit in the country, and the game of Liverpool fills life with joy. Thanks
It's the name of 2 different people.....
I think Jookie might just be the best fisherman on this thread.
Great OP, thank you Dougle.I love a cup game, me. Any cup game involving the Reds. Value every shiny thing that exists I tell ya.I'll be looking forward to it all day, particularly when the team is announced.
I find the league cup very relaxing So I love these games too and it’s always great to see some younger players that I usually wouldn’t see play so much, as well as the chance to see the likes of Taki and Tsimikas as well, who have looked good in the games they have played in. Only those times we get as far as a semi final does it stops being quite so relaxing!
Not sure about this. Eddie Hemmings seems a pretty unique name.I think it may have been the same fella. Sports reporter in the 70's on Radio Merseyside, turned his arm to cricket in the 80's and then took up commentating on Rugby League after a successful cricket career. Who can ever forget his 4 off the last ball from John Lever to win the 1989 B&H cup for Nottinghamshire. Or who can forget his legendary commentary for over 20 years of Super League. What a fella. Crammed so much into 1 lifetime. Wouldn't be surprised to see him take on another sport in the 2020's.
Haven't looked forward to seeing Morton this much since the 1983-84 Scottish Premier League title run in.
IS van den Berg the Jordan Ibe of this fixture?
Looking forward to also seeing Sepp at right ring back for Preston
I would really like to see a CB partnership of Gomez and Konate tomorrow night, they are the future so need to have some time together to develop their partnership, it has a great potential considering each player's qualities.
Would like to see that as well. Have a Feeling it'll be Nat and Gomez starting tho, but with the 5 subs I'm sure we'll see plenty of changes so they might get an outing together.
5 subs?? Oh awesome.
82/83 surely Roy? Free buses to Cappielow!
Rumour is that Blair starts with Musialowski and Balagizi unavailable.Hopefully it’s not true about the missing lads as I was hoping to see them play.
Will be a real footballing education, education, education.
