Commentator saying this is a young spurs team and hopefully they will learn. Big issue for them is keeping all those players. They have been fortunate that they have not really lost anyone in the last couple of seasons but surely this summer could be tough for them. Can't see them keeping all of Dembele, Erikson, Son or Kane.

I wouldn't. They have the experience the same we we did under Rafa.

Nah - fuck that. Remember 2005 - Juve we’re going to use their experience to put us out and then Sami and Garcia put those two wonderful goals past Buffon.

Really ?! He set them up comeptley wrong for this match they were lucky to still be in the tie

Don't go down the Primitav route. Never go down that route.  'But we won 150 minutes out of the 180 played'.

Juve deserved winners. Stonewall penalty not given. It should have been 3. Escaped with the Higuain penalty miss in the 1st leg.

Juve showed their winners mentality during the critical end. Better team really

Spurs didn’t.

2-2 in the first leg, so away goals made it 4-2 to Spurs and then 1-2 tonight means they go through on aggregate. Undefeated.

Stevie and the other pundits are claiming Spurs were the better team, and deserved to go through.

But that ignores the blatant penalty the ref bottled in the first half.

Another gripe from me, is the hype surrounding Dembele. He “looks” the part, but actually slows the game down, and almost never plays a killer pass, or gets a shot off. He’s nothing like the myth that surrounds him.

He's a good player mate but I agree not quite elite level whatever that is

I'm not concerned about facing Juve. I think we'd do them. I'd be slightly concerned for some of our fans if we went over there though. Those Juve fans are hardly going to be the most welcoming towards us. My cousin went back in 2005 and he said it was the only time he has ever been scared for his life at a football match.

I have no doubt we would batter teams like Real and Juve over two legs, but you can just never count them out due to their Champions League experience. You have to stay switched on the whole team. We don't have that kind of experience yet.
A win over either of those sides would be extremely hard-earned. They have the nous, the experience and the players who turn up with the heat is on.

I've said it before, so I'm repeating myself - but Spurs haven't looked the same since Alderweireld went out. Every back four needs one defining defender. I think he's the one for them. We searched for one since Sami, and finally got one with VVD.

He is telling the truth. On balance of play, they dominated Juve. Made up they are out. Now all we need is for Utd and Chelsea to go out next week.

Why not quote the whole post in context? I’m not denying Spurs dominated the 1st half, but I also mentioned the blatant penalty Juve were denied. Or aren’t goals important?

yeah cos the likes of Lloris, Dembele, Trippier, Vertonghen, Eriksson and Son are just little up and comers aren't they. Makes me laugh all that. Liverpool is probably similar in age profiles I'm sure, yet that isn't used as an excuse.

Who was supposed to be tracking Dybala for that second goal? Was that Vertonghen with his arm up in the air?
Very poor.

Was Trippier. Sanchez went walkabout there and  left a massive hole.

How immense was Chiellini. Spurs have a great attack but they were reduced to dust by him. Incredible what having to come against such an absolute top draw defender could do to you. Lesson.

Douglas Costa is the dog's bollocks as well. The Brazilian coach must play him in the World Cup, but I'm sure he'll be playing Paulinho and a couple of other obscure no names from the Brazilian league.
Chiellini has the been the best defender in the world for a while now but because he’s more worried about defending than looking good on the ball, he’s rarely mentioned as an Italian great. Doesn’t move with the style of Nesta or the speed of Cannavaro but he’s fucking class and thoroughly loves defending.
94 Corner to us. Last kick. Ali in the box and he’s scored

How often does Busquets get a killer pass or a shot off? Dembele is unbelievably hard to press and is tremendous at keeping possession for the team. The main knock I'd have on him is that he needs another player alongside him to do defensive work as that's an area he's not as effective at.

Id love to face them. Bring some similarities to our 05 run. Love a good omen.
