He's genuinely better than ever!
if I came home to allison in bed with my wife I'd ask him to phone Virgil to see if he wanted to pop round too.

How did he miss the open goal I'd never know, but his goal was superb! The touch before the goal was a bit hard and I though he lost it, but then...

He should've buried but it's not quite an open goal when the goalkeeper is there and the ball's coming across your body at speed

Not quite? It's nowhere near an open goal as the goalkeeper was there. An open goal is when there's no one in the goal to stop the ball from going in.

I was being generous to the original poster. "Open goal" is more or less a phrase for a very easy chance now isn't it, not always to be taken literally.

Some of his touches and passing in tight spaces are sublime, and he seems to have a sixth sense for where his teammates are. He looks leaner and quicker compared to this time last year, and really fired up. Love the guy.

Bobby is on a different level this season. Never seen him this good. What a goal. He should have got 2. But his touch, flicks, movement, passes are incredible. I think he can get 20+ goals and 10+ assists this season. Easily.

He just beats players with ease & how he does it so well without being as showboaty as Bergkamp & Ronaldinho (former geniuses in a similar role) is a mystery. He takes out players and nobody skips a beat, but yes, it's done and over, all businessy like.

The fact that he works harder than most players have ever done in that role is just a massive bonus.

Roberto Firmino (Liverpool)

When Liverpool are playing Arsenal, they need Roberto Firmino in the team.

The Brazilian has scored more goals in this fixture than any other player in the last 15 years and only Robbie Fowler has scored more in the Premier League era.

His tally of eight goals in as many games is impressive and he is one of just three Liverpool players to have netted a Premier League hat-trick against Arsenal.

That trio of goals came in the 5-1 thrashing in 2018, where he netted two of them in as many minutes at Anfield. His first was an entertaining 'no-look' finish and he completed his hat-trick from the spot.

His solitary goal at Emirates Stadium in December 2017 came in the 71st minute and secured a 3-3 draw after Arsenal had netted three goals in five minutes.
