Hi all,

Bit of an odd question really but here goes ...

Whilst driving to the game on Saturday, I got flashed by a speed camera outside the City Centre - and I am trying to find out what the limit is on that particular stretch of road ...

Not sure of the road name, but it's the road that takes you out of the City along a "3 lane wide" road, over the entrance to the tunnel and eventually up the hill until it narrows to 2 lanes before the right hand turn into Walton Breck Road (I think).

The speed camera is towards the bottom of the hill.

If anyone has the foggies idea where I am talking about ... do you know what the speed limit along there is ?

Regards,

Adam Brunt

30mph!

Thought it might be.

Looking at Multimap, it was definitely on the A59 or the bit between the A59 and Walton Breck Road.

Think its 30 there.

Just as I well I don't drive anymore then!

Always been confused about the speed limits on big roads like this in cities where there are very few (if any) speed limit signs - but plenty of cameras!

Its 30 by the throstles nest going north. Dunno about the bit by the tunnel though, that "feels" like it should be a 40 limit (y'honour)

no - it was further from the City than that.

It was up past the boarded up / derelict Admiral (??) pub/hotel on the left.

30 and I'm fairly sure there is one a bit futhur up going away from the tunnel, although looks like I made that up. http://www.no-excuses.org.uk/Cameras/camera.aspx?CameraID=47&CameraType=F

P.s. location of them all in Liverpool are on the local Scamera partnership site  - http://www.no-excuses.org.uk/Cameras/Cameras.aspx?CameraType=F

It's quite simple really, no speed limit signs and where there is street lighting means the road is a 30.

Odd - I was certainly a lot further along than that.

I could have sworn I saw a flash in the rear view mirror

Two flashes or one?

Somebody else asked the exact same thing last night ... and I don't remember the second flash.

Then again - judging by the posts on here - there shouldn't even have been 1 flash as there was no camera there !!??!!

Deffo no camera further up, the one going away from town is by the bus stop just past where tunnel traffic merges in.  The one on the way to town is by the Throstles.

Maybe someone was just stalking you

There is defo a camera further up scottie, just past the bus stop across from the church, there are two, one in either direction, into town or out of town......

reckon you just need to hope there was no film, or some scally had damaged the lens!!

The cameras on Scotty used to always have film in them, I know a few people who've been done along there.
