A mild case of "fear of missing out" with a potential parade, I have to say. Absolutely no conceivable options I can see for £240-ish to get back anywhere roughly in time.

Yep, that may be the case for a lot of the travelling Reds mate. But you'll have had the big occasion though.

The metro surely won't be the only way for us to get to the ground. I imagine they will put on free shuttle buses to the ground from each team allocated square

That would make a lot of sense, but we will see

Shuttle buses worked well last year to/from airport so hopefully someone will have seen that and realised it's a much better option than putting everyone on public transport

Let's hope the stadium segregation is better in Madrid than Kiev we managed to walk round to the ground to the  Madrid end and back round to the Liverpool end no segregation in place

As one such, I will be there but happy to enjoy the atmosphere and catch up with mates. If a reasonably priced ticket comes my way, ok, but not buying one from a gouger.

just checking spurs forums and they are having the old "where's them 4,000 tickets gone from the allocation" argument

Lots also seem to be sobering up and chickening out of spending a fortune without a ticket

Haha yeah. I'll probably be ticketless so it may be slightly less "special" but I'm just being precious. Can't have it all. Blessed to have been to most of this season's CL games home and away and to be in Madrid too.

Yeah, my pal has backed out as he doesn't want to shell out £500-odd for just being in Madrid - same with a lot of his mates albeit it being their biggest game in 40-odd years. Doubt any of them would have pre-booked a Madrid trip just in case either like many of our fans do.

To be fair it’s not chickening out if you decide not to go without a ticket

Many reds in the same boat, me included

Shit load of cash to spend watching it on tv when you can do that in the city. Never know might even be sunny here by then too!

Indeed, 2/3 of the crowd ended up in 1/2 of the stadium.

Anyone clued up on booking the Thomas Cook flights .

I have a season ticket but in someone elses name . I booked with TC today , but wondering now if there willl be a problem if my ticket no. comes up in the ballot but the names don't match ?

I'd expect there are 1000's in my position and would expect there were similar stuatons for the Kiev final last year .

If anyone can clarify be much obliged .

It should be that when you buy the ticket you put who’s travelling on it

That should then match the TC booking

That’s what I’ve learnt off here, I think!

Heading myself as well, my mate and Missus not going. Booked up to Valencia and travelling down to Madrid on Friday or Saturday by train and going to just see how it goes. Could be an all nighter but would be keen to meet up with anyone else.

Did it last year and on tc website you had to put your details in and the name of the person whos card your trying to buy on. Once match tickets have been sold they then contact the club with the fan card numbers to confirm they got a ticket.
Last year I had 3 mates in the ballot and just used one of there card numbers unfortunately he didn't get a match ticket but one of the others did. When TC phoned me saying that card number hadn't qualified I Told them that another one had and I'd bought with that, they rang the club to see if it had and my details were on it. Within a hour TC emailed me to say all was confirmed and the flight details.
Hope this helps

Shuttle buses worked well last year to/from airport so hopefully someone will have seen that and realised it's a much better option than putting everyone on public transport

Kiev was a ball ache to get to but the whole set up once there was spot on. Hopefully UEFA/Madrid do the same

Good to know there’s gonna be plenty of other reds travelling by themselves, I thought as much anyway. We’ll have to organise a meet up point when we know more about the fan park situation.

I reckon there'll be 5 or 6 from Liverpool. We booked in the first phase and they were numbered 1 to 3 but I noticed the latest flight is flight B so I wondered if they're now doing A, B, C, etc. Pure guesswork though! If you're in the first phase the flight times should be safer as they're using Spanish airlines that have their own parking spots in Madrid.

Going by previous SO trips they usually send out the travel vouchers about a week to 4  days before travel. Hoping for more info soon though so can book the airport parking.

Cheers yeah we used them for Kiev last year it said flight B when I booked it a few days ago.

How much is the parking for a day usually at Liverpool airport?

If I make it I'd definitely be up for a meet up as I'd be on my own. Chances that I get to go are probably 50-50 as I'm currently in hospital recovering from an operation and can't get out of bed until the middle or end of the week. Have a flight booked though and will do everything I can to spend the day in Madrid and watch the final there with some fellow reds...
