Suso is starting tonights game against Inter Milan. After a slow start to his Milan career, is he finding his place in the first 11?

Ah, I've loads to be doing this evening and now I'll have to keep an eye on this game. Haven't been following him at all since he left so no idea on your question.

Edit - First half is just finished. Anyone watching, how is he getting on?

Turned it on at half time. He has been doing OK. Player I would want to sign for Liverpool from this match is Kovacic.

That was some bizarre disallowing of a goal. Suso coming off now.

He scored a few in a practice match and caught the eye a few weeks back. I think he'll work his way into a starting role there

AC Milan boss Pippo Inzaghi was pleased with Suso's full debut in their 0-0 draw with Inter Milan

It was the former Liverpool midfielder's first Serie A start.

Inzaghi said: “Suso did very well tonight. I saw him improving a great deal in recent weeks and I knew with the diamond midfield we’d create superiority in that area. I think he was a great signing, he’s also a very professional player and you can see he wants to learn.”

Mancini then went on to rubbish claims that the Derby della Madonnina lost some of its appeal due to both sides’ recent form, as they sit in 9th and 10th respectively in Serie A, before going on to praise Milan players Diego Lopez and Suso.

“A derby is a derby,” he said. “There were 74,000 fans who turned up tonight; maybe it’s not the same in terms of standings in the table, but a temporary downfall is normal.

“Diego Lopez was really good, he denied us many chances, and Suso is also a quality player”

He since started (up front by the looks of it) in a loss the next time around, subbed off after 70 odd minutes.

Good feedback though

Edit: just noticed they played a midweek game and he wasn't in the squad at all. They lost badly so I'm sure he'll be straight back in. Apparently Inzaghi will prob get the boot this week

The whole of the Milan team are in bits, and Inzaghi is a below average manager, but he started the game before last, missed the last game with injury, and will probably start in their next game.

Next season under a new manager would be the best time to judge him, but he's already forced his way into the first team.

Adriano assisted Bacca's goal. Suso was part of the midfield Mihajlović threw under the bus for not supporting the attack, post-game.

Came off after 55 mins and from what I've read was pretty awful

Fact he started is somewhat of a positive that shows he must be impressing somewhat in training. Just needs to translate that talent into performances. Hope he gets another chance.

Not sure if either of them will ever eclipse Anthony Le Tallec's achievements though

In all seriousness, ridiculously naturally talented player. Flanagan´s personality/mentality combined with Suso´s footballing ability and you are talking a world beater. Instead we´re talking about what might have been.

Some bits and pieces came about his supposed lack of professionalism and poor diet in pieces about Brendan. Apparently didn't take care of himself physically as he should have and it's not really helped him make the most of his ridiculous talent as Babu said it. Technically, he is superb.

Suso has been a bit stupid with his career decisions so far. Luis Alberto, on the other hand, has been making right choices all along. Saw that he couldn't do much at Liverpool, pushed for a move. Didn't do much for Malaga, pushed for a move. He has been quite decent for Deportivo, who are on the rise, and Alberto has a decent chance to make a top division pro player.

Suso, in the meantime, wasted his time running out his contract at Liverpool, then for whatever inexplicable reason decides to go to Milan side in crisis. Really stupid.

milan didnt do their scouting properly.

if they saw him in la liga they woudlnt have touched him with a bargepole.

he has ability but not enough to make up for his deficiencies....of which he has way too many.

segunda divisions beckons.

Hard to tell really but Deulofeu was MASSIVELY highly rated when he was very young. Like crazy. Now....he's playing for Everton. Its not like he's delivered yet either considering where he was and where he is now.

Suso's been loaned to Genoa for the rest of the season in hopes he can develop with more playing time.
