Awful by Lucas. Firmino has been phenomenal to watch. Mane good too but Sturridge looks off the pace to me.

:o Sturridge has been great, really playing for the team
One day, people will hopefully look back and say "I was there son. I was there the year that Spurs won nothing again."

Hopefully we forget about the mistake and play like we did at the start of the first half in the second. We really need to improve on all these silly mistakes.

Gini, Mane, Henderson, Firmino and Studge the stand out's. I swear we have the mentality of a potato, as soon as we concede our heads drop, need to try and fix that.

Lucas, what are you doing mate??  :lmao :lmao

Can't watch it as I'm in graft. Sounds like we are playing well though? Bar a silly mistake

Our goals are awesome, and 99% of the half we were brilliant. I think we'll dominate in the second half and get another goal or two.

Really good performance until Lucas' mistake. Looked like he thought the game was too one-sided. Two fine goals by Firmino and Mane. Hope we can show some more of the football we played in the first half. The whole half reminded me of the Manchester derby from earlier today.

We walked a well trodden path there. Play well, look in control and then give the opposition a chance due to a silly individual error.

That error today was as bad as it gets really; ridiculous mistake to make.

We looked fabulous for the first 30 minutes and I have a lot of hope for the future.

The present? Lots of inconsistency, silly mistakes and frustration. The frustration is mainly because there is the potential for a bloody good team there.

He wont' get much praise as he hasn't scored but that half is why Sturridge is such a great 9. Constant movement, on the last shoulder then vacating the space - so hard to track.

He looks quick and mobile again, great to see. Just needs a goal now.

That's right up there with worst defensive mistakes of all time. Absolutely incredible

Momentum swung like a pendulum the second he did it.  Hopefully they get their shit together at half time,

Play a midfielder at CB and get what you ask for, no surprise. Winning still though so woo
The midfielder to miss control it and kick it away? Probably not what you'd expect to be honest.

Trust Klopp to organise the attack? Yes. Trust him to organise the defence? Absolutely not.
This hasn't got too much to do with organising a defence.

On another note didn't they come back from 2-0 a couple of seasons back here at Anfield? Surely one is enough.

That mistake can happen to anyone when you play out from the back like that. It's the price you have to pay when you want to play that way.

I thought we utterly dominant and really in control. The Lucas mistake was quite possibly the stupidest defensive error you'll see in a PL match all season, even though before that he'd been quite effective. Seems to have been a real mood killer. Sturridge has had one of his best team-oriented games in quite some time. Firmino was boss in that half.

Lovely to see all the whoppers in the half time thread despite us winning so far. I've seen some lovely play, a beautiful new stand and a delicious attacking sensibility. More of the same please.

Can't have too much of a good thing for too long, can we? Our own undoing yet again :( Thankfully we're still ahead, but that was a serious brainfart by Lucas.

Anyone blaming Mignolet for that, fuck you basically.. what do he do wrong?

Great goals though, & Sturridge selfish? Yeahhh :)

Jesus Christ we are out own worst enemy at times. Mignolet plays square with 3 players around him but Lucas has ample time and Milner unmarked, why not use him?

Lallana and Clyne are not doing well, Clyne in particular has been awful with his passes. Sturridge was off the boil for most of the game but then played a huge part in the goal. The rest have been solid with Wijnauldum, Mane and Henderson being the stand outs.

Save for that absurd Lucas mistake, we were playing incredibly well. We still kinda are, just a bit more nervy. The players need to cool down a bit, remember that we're still winning this and just go for it at the start of the second half. Surprise them with a relentless attack. They'll never know what hit 'em ;D

Gotta love that Firmino-Mane-Sturridge attack.

EDIT: Also, the Main Stand looks impressive and the noise... mah gawd. So good. Keep on singing, please!
