God awful. Why did Elliott line up on the left? Why did Gakpo line up in the middle? Hell, why did we even sign him? He's not particularly quick nor is he particularly skillful. I'm not sure what he adds and we've spent 40m on him.

Got a clean sheet so that’s nice. Reality is the rest of the season will be a struggle so I’d love to see the young lads get more playing time. Bajcetic had a strong second half imo.

what makes it worse was that was a very poor chelsea side

Did their goalie have a single decent save to make? So many efforts scuffed, miss hits, blazed over.
Thought we were doing well until Elliot was moved back into midfield and we lost control. Again.

We were so slow in the closing part of the game, seemed to lose all momentum, no-one closing down, weak tackles, lack of movement to give your team-mate a pass.

Also the officials were a disgrace. So many blatant throw-ins, corners and free-kicks not given. The topper being Jorginho flopping on the ball in the box and getting a free-kick. Oliver's MO seemed to be if he hadn't seen it and advantage was with Liverpool, give it to Chelsea. Every single time.

We've got no chance of top 4 on the evidence we've seen since the sportswashing cup ended. We'd need to win every game and I wouldn't bet on us to beat any side in the league right now.

Bar that 5/10 minute spell at the start of the second half we were dire against a Chelsea side that gets slapped around every week by the dross of the league.

TAA came on and done nothing but give the ball away about a million times. We need another decent right back to fill in as it is 2023 and I can't watch Milner clogging on at right back much longer.

There was a point towards the end where he challenges for the ball, doesn't end up winning it fully and is already running up the pitch even though he never won the tackle.

Nice of you to judge a player after just three games whose having to come into a team which has zero confidence at present. I would say other players need to be questioned before him.

Progress is all you can hope for right now.

Totally agreed. Can see why people are frustrated but our confidence is shot and some of our senior pros look completely done at this level. That's two clean sheets in a row. Still lots to work on, but ages to go yet.

Front three didn't work. Gakpo wanted to be on the left, Elliot on the right and we could have done that with Mo in the middle. Nunez improved us which was no surprise.
We worked hard and kept a second clean sheet which was a positive I suppose. Plenty energy and little quality.

Worth remembering virtually the same team played on Tuesday.

Why didn't Nunez go to the middle once he came on? Why did he stay on the left and Gakpo in the middle whose natural position is LW?

I must be one of the few here that thought we played quite well. Irrespective of Chelsea’s recent form they played well. There was never going to be much space or time on the ball and so I thought we did everything we could. Too many people seem to ignore the way the other team played and want to be negative for the sake of it. A point today was fair and I didn’t see any poor performances.

I thought we played well considering how bad we are this season and that we also missing 3 attackers. If Hendo and Fabinho started this game would have ended to Chelsea in the first half. Fabinho especially almost gifted Chelsea the win twice. No excuse for wasting +300k a week on Hendo and Fabinho next season, absolutely no excuse.
