There has always been rumours of issues in the dressing room, I guess the player quality was so high and squad so deep it was never noticeable.

Aguero was said to not fit in.
Sane wanted to move.
Sterling was unhappy.
Bernardo Silva wanted to leave.
Gundogan wants out.

Often they get put in the team go on and become a match winner, or sold eventually like Sane and Sterling.

We already have shit in the country, and the game of Liverpool fills life with joy. Thanks

It hasn't though.

They just have a load of players who can't be arsed.

They would be 10th without him.

Tactically, he just doesn't fit in. You can't be the centrepoint of their attack and be touching the ball 10 times per game.

The game moved on from having a Van Nistelrooy hanging about up top. But don't think he's the biggest issue, they are just washed up in midfield, have little quality out wide, Walker is finished, other defenders like Akanj no good etc etc. Lucky for them money is no object so will probably all get fixed in the summer.

They were fine with Aguero doing similair, with the right players around him they could still hit 90 odd points over a season. It's a problem that they look physically worse and are trying to protect the counter by holding the ball more with more protection as well.

Aguero was a lot less of a goal hanger than Haaland
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Aguero is on another planet as a footballer.  They'll probably buy a team to suit his strengths  but Haaland will never be a classy all rounder. He's a goal machine that they’ll have to indulge at the expense of their recognised style of play.

Aguero was a much better player than Haaland. Haaland can only contribute goals, which obviously is the most significant thing - but if the team behind him are off it, hes worthless out there. Aguero was a battler for City, more in common with 10s than 9s really.

I think their biggest drop off is De Bruyne's legs going. Also Pep's strange ideas, getting rid of Cancelo, never picking Foden, keeping Bernardo Silva on the bench etc.

Don’t tell people that.

We hit 99 points that season. Them dropping points wasn't the problem considering our 27 games unbeaten with the 26 wins at the start, people remember that.

He is, but they didn't need him to drop in and help with possession/creating chances and the team around him was better than the current City team. They could commit more forward and could afford to be more direct due to not having the issues this City side does stopping transitions. Surround Haaland with the 17/18-18/19 City side and I think they'd still comfortably hit 90+ points

Aguero was a good passer and he could beat a man. I think his contributions are underrated. He's head and shoulders above Haaland as a player.

If I could bet money on it I’d guess ManC and LFC’s issues are somewhat similar in that there is a core group of players that can’t or won’t answer the bell anymore and each manager’s response to it is defining their season. You don’t move on from Cancelo for a clearly worse player or bench Dias and Laporte unless there are major issues going on.

Has to be some serious issues there. Akanje and Ake are both absolutely shite and yet starting every game with two of the best CBs in Europe sat on the bench. Just absolutely insane

Why couldn't this have been last season? Would have made everything so much easier. We would have been able to take the foot off a little and would have had some energy left for the CL final instead of every game meaning absolutely everything and us burning out

Klopp deffo gets in his head. Jurgen built a wonderful side at Dortmund without shit loads of cash, same at us, Pep has to either inherit a once in a generation amount of talent, or throw money about and I think it bothers him. Klopp is the best manager he has faced, its like if he's not competing with Jurgen, then its meaningless.

The thing with Man City can get away with is being able to move on players with decent fees. It's like buying clubs see their players as being 'coached by Pep' as a reason to pay top dollar.

Their squad reached saturation point about 3 or 4 years ago.  Meaning they had spent so much money and discarded so many players over the 10 years prior that you couldn't doubt the quality of anyone in the regular squad, and the biggest challenge became which mega money players to keep and which to sell.  Weird problem to have and having world class players happy with a lower amount of game time is a big factor.

I think they've had a mixed record since reaching this point.  Leroy Sane, Ferran Torres and Zinchenko could have been worth keeping, but probably the right call with Gabriel Jesus and Sterling.  Cancelo seems to be a mistake but we'll have to see.

His most famous goal for them, he drops deep to get possession and create the chance. There are about 5 city players ahead of him when he first receives the ball. Kompany is ahead of him.

He used to do it all the time
