The turn-around is unbelievable!  Long may it continue.  And what a time to score THAT goal!  After his shanked volley a few minutes earlier - can't believe it!

The power of Lovren is a curious thing
Make a one man weep, make another man sing
Change a hawk to a little white dove
More than a feeling that's the power of Lovren

Tougher than diamonds, rich like cream
Stronger and harder than a bad girl's dream
Make a bad one good make a wrong one right
Power of Lovren  that keeps you home at night

You don't need money, don't take fame
Don't need no credit card to ride this train
It's strong and it's sudden and it's cruel sometimes
but it might just save your life
That's the power of Lovren
That's the power of Lovren

First time you feel it, it might make you sad
Next time you feel it it might make you mad
But you'll be glad baby when you've found
that's the power makes the world go'round

And it don't take money, don't take fame
Don't need no credit card to ride this train
It's strong and it's sudden it can be cruel sometimes
But it might just save your life

They say that all in love is fair
yeah, but you don't care
But you know what to do
when it gets hold of you
and with a little help from above
you feel the power of Lovren
you feel the power of Lovren
Can you feel it?
Hmmm

It don't take money and it don't take fame
don't need no credit card to ride this train
Tougher than diamonds and stronger than steel
you won't feel nothin' till you feel
you feel the power, just the power of Lovren
That's the power, that's the power of Lovren
You feel the power of Lovren
You feel the power of Lovren
Feel the power of Lovren

Him and Sakho kept us in the game at Dortmund, and won it for us at Anfield.

A center back pairing that click, not had that in such a long time.

He's been our best CB at the club since Klopp took over. What a turnaround from that horror show against West Ham at the start of the season!! He played like a man possessed at times tonight. Even in the first half, there was a terrific cross that he put in which Origi couldn't convert from. He's coursing with belief right now and long may it continue.

As I said in the other (main) thread, I love the fact that he scored the winning goal. He, the maligned, constantly-abused-on-social-media, at times declared "the worst LFC signing ever", Dejan Lovren.

As far as I'm concerned, he's redeemed. He climbed up the hill his own way.

Long may he continue on this run of form :scarf

Our best and most consistent defender in the early Klopp reign by a mile.

And the match winner in our most important game of the season to date.

What a difference a year, or even 6 months, can make.

I'm not expecting too many more emphatic strikes from our man Dejan. But his precise tackling, his covering in behind Sakho and his no nonsense clearances and aerial dominance have won me over in the last few months.

Take a bow son and welcome to the world of Anfield cult hero status.

You've earned it for all the shit you came through to show us the player and man you are.

1 year ago missed the penalty that knocked us out EL last 32 against a mediocre Beşiktaş
Tonight scored the winner to take us into EL semis against a great Dortmund team

I think that it takes a lot of bollocks to come back from the position that he was in, with the fans, media etc essentially against him at one point.  Really pleased for him. Well in lad.

HERO. Seriously, Dejan has some serious balls in him, not just the comeback from being heavily criticised, I mean with a few minutes to go, he dared to attempt that volley first time? I was raging, but thank fowler for that glorious winner, and an even better dropkick celebration.

brilliant.

flashback to autumn 2014 when we beat QPR 3-2 at Loftus Road. He was awful. I wanted him out then already!

he has been our most improved player since klopp arrived.

just goes to show what a little patience and playing with the right manager and system can do.

I strongly feel even Lazar will really excel under Klopp for the directness and passion he has. I think Lovren will get even better now and continue to Boss around. If he has 50% of the Agger calmness on the ball, he will be immense.

I feel he is the most natural leader in the team and would be my vote for captain next season. What a turn around this lad has made, delighted for him because it couldn't have been easy for the first year and a bit getting slated by pundits and fans, absolutely delighted for him.
Having Welbeck try and mark Pirlo is ridiculous. It's like trying to get a golden retriever to stop a tennis ball machine.Because one is a machine designed for a very specific purpose that it is peerless at, and the other is a fucking dog.

It's an amazing turnaround, one of the best. Even more amazing he's an established CB. Strikers and young players are more prone to develop in bursts. Origis development is not that surprising.
It's 100% mental too. It's all about playing his strengths and avoiding unnecessary trouble.
His improvement started a year ago though, long before Klopp.

The guy knew he had a lot to prove looking at his own earlier performance - having Klopp take over gave him a new lease of life. Simply worked harder and quietly to do better. Having a good coach who knows how to use him is just as important but it takes character to bounce back with the weight of history on you.

Reminds me of Marco Tardelli's celebration that. :D

He has done really well. Long may it continue. I'd like to see some competition at Left Back and Lovren/Sakho given more time over pre-season etc to gel. I think once they sort the odd blunder and/or misjudgment, we'll be pretty good defensively. Ideally with some better midfield cover at times, too.

Great for him to get the winner, he deserves it after how hard he has worked to turn things around. Been thinking for weeks now he needs another goal, he gets on the end of so many set pieces

He gets a free header he really should have scored from in the first game because Sakho makes a block in the box for him, Lovren returned the favor for the equalizer last night. It`s great to see that we`re working on our set-pieces and improving in that area.

Reminded me of his performance against Palace.
