Manuel Neuer is out the rest of the season after breaking his leg skiing.

Would have thought clubs might have had something stopping those sorts of holidays. Shit for him though, incredible player over the years, the second best keeper to ever play the game.

Fucking hell, imagine how angry you'd be if you were a Bayern fan or worked for the club! I suppose he's done enough for them on the field over the years though.

Interesting to see how it affects the rest of his career. He's already about 36/37 so I imagine they'll be looking into a long term replacement now. What does Oliver Kahn get up to these days?

Kahn is CEO at Bayern doing the job Karl-Heinz Rummenigge used to do. Not sure people would be angry at Neuer as going skiing is pretty much an everyday thing for people in Bavaria and that region. Was kind of surprised though that Bayern seem to allow their players to do that kind of stuff as there's quite an injury risk attached to it especially this early in winter. As far as looking for a successor for Neuer is concerned it'll probably depend on what Neuer's plans are. It's not like Bayern can sign a guy who's good enough to replace him, play him for a few months and then have him sit on the bench again until Neuer retires. They'll probably deal with the replacement thing once Neuer decides to call it at day, so they can bring in a new keeper and have him be their number one right away...

Neuer will be 37 in March. This is an ideal point for Bayern to look for a long-term successor

What about Nubel? He was meant to be Neuer's successor wasn't he?

Niko Kovac is doing a very good job at Wolfsburg after a dogey start. Wolfsburg probably look like the 2nd best team in the league on current form behind Bayern.

Marco Rose seems to be rolling along nicely since he took over at Leipzig. Most points in the league since then.

Szoboszlai putting them ahead tonight vs Stuttgart in the 25th minute, goalie should have done a lot better.

Good game this, Szoboszlai with a belter of a 2nd, but now Stuttgart get a penalty to pull one back.

From the comments in the other thread, seems this is a far better bet than the Abu Dhabi vs Arsenal borefest  :P

Nagelsmann has been so underwhelming. The Bundesliga is junk so they’re still coasting but they’ve not been a good side since he’s been there.

Hertha BSC continue to be a mess. Fredi Bobic sacked today after their loss vs FC Union.

Hard to lump the blame all on him considering, everything such a mess off the pitch.  Fans aren’t happy with this latest move.

Watched the second half and Bayern looked so poor.

On a lighter note they a player on the bench called Paul Wanner. The type of name you see on the old panini stickers where the player looks in his 50’s but is 26. Also one letter away from being Paul Wanker too which is nice

yeah, not been a bad start to the half.

Diaby is so quick  8)

Decent save that from Hradecky.

And Augsburg lead, from the corner.

he’s been a fantastic pick-up for Frankfurt. I can’t remember - but was there a lot of competition for him when he signed, he went there on a free.

24 years old, coming off the back of 2 solid seasons for Nantes, then now pushing on even more at Frankfurt, 9 goals and 12 assists so far in the league.  Yep, there will be a few clubs sniffing around in the summer.

Bremen wearing their light pink kit away to Stuttgart isn’t the best idea, it’s all very light and blendy!  And odder as they have a perfectly nice dark green kit that they could have worn  :P
