OK, I am putting you down as confirmed - i.e. you are playing. Details about meeting up times will follow.

Nige, do we need Joe90's 2 mates or just wait and see how many of the others on the list confirm first?

Nige, with regards to that pub... is it THE Limoncello place from last time? What a mentalist night that was.

Missed this message before, soz.

Errm no it's not  a dancing-type place like that was. Great night that. Still can't believe some of our lot left before it had even got going on a wild goose chase looking for somewhere better...

Nige, do we need Joe90's 2 mates or just wait and see how many of the others on the list confirm first?

yeah, knowing what I know about the travel arrangements of certain people on that list we do need them  ;)

Cheers mate, thats sound.  Not sure if the other two will play anyway, just if needed like.  They'll happily play if needed and will buy a few rounds i imagine.. ;)

OK, Joe90, can you confirm with them for certain whether they'll play or not? So that we know 100%  either way.

Posted this on the ilfc site and thought yous all would appreciate it

Just realised for those who are going to play.
When we played them in 65 none of you Nige apart were even born.
I was working then in Plesseys in Edge Lane and stirring up shit over the pay for under 18's.
I hadn't played football since before being expelled from Grammar school and apart from the games day only ever played in goal for a proper team once for the school team, maybe twice. It was very cliquey.
Anyway having already travelled to a lot of the away games for a couple of seasons after promotion, this was even bigger.
I was working with me knitted scarf around me kneck, when the works radio said that qeues were forming at Anfield at mid-day. I shit, not having a ticket those days. Usually joined the qeue in the jigger at the main stand corner of the Kop, and eventually 6 abreast getting squeezed into two abreast to get to the turnstyles.
Had visions of being locked out so tucked me scarf inside me coat and developed a serious toothache at one o-clock.
Last thing the foreman said was enjoy the game.
Got to Anfield at two to find loads of people but nowhere as bad as was made out but bided my time till about 5.30 when they opened the gates cos the crowds were building.
Sat on the damp terrace for an hour as the Kop filled up.
It was heaving before kick off and the game was absolutely electric. Hunts goal was fucking superb but Lawlers non goal was better till it was given off side.
Can't remember experiencing anything like that night, as I was locked out for the St Etienne game.
Two years on we formed a football team at Littlewoods in Crosby and I was a proper goalie for the first time in my life.
43 years on am still trying to get noticed and am always disappointed when the scouts don't turn up.
Ah well that's life
How come pointed questions recieve blunt answers

Well, whatever happens on that Monday night, we've got history on our side. :) A 40+ year goalkeeping career - I'll eat my shinnies if I even come close to matching that. :) Mind you, I did end up in goal when I was 13, properly at 15... Harry was 16/17... let' see... maybe, I have a chance... :)

By the way, Harry, which half do you want in Milan?

By the way obscure footy scarves that are not on the list of scarves that the bar owner already has on his wall (see his website) will probably get you a free pint or 2.

Not bothered about free pints but I have a good collection of scarves that are doing nothing, checked his list and I think I can add one or two at least! I'll bring them anyway!

No Bayer Leverkusen or Olympiakos for a start. Also got a PSG, Maccabi Haifa and Spartak Moscow scarf. Will leave you to bring the Spartak pata as it'll be nice to come from a real fan!

Edit: he's got those

their lads are still deciding whether to play in Bresso, about 10k North of the centre, like last time, or near Linate airport, about 7k east of the centre.

In other news, nobody we know from Muratidentro has been able to get tix for anfield, but I'm hoping to meet someone called Alfredo, a previous manager of their team, for a pint on Tuesday ...

And a huge apology to ALEX the bar owner, for saying you were  a Bilanista !!!  Luca told me you've been reading this thread ...

Dunno why I 'remembered' that ... Alex is of course Inter to the core ...
