Topic: Notification when quoted and post Like system?

Most forums these days have a notification and  like system, basically if your post is good it'll get a like from a fellow rawkite, also if someone quotes your post instead of remembering what you posted and when you get a notification stating a member has quoted/replied to your comment and it takes you directly to the post.

would we ever consider implementing this?

In all seriousness, whenever this subject comes up the collective view seems to be "RAWK isn't a popularity contest!" which is likely to be the outcome if likes were part of the system...

I think a like system would be better than people quoting posts and replying with emojis or "this" or whatever.

I do it myself, but I wouldn't if we had the option of showing that it was a good post without needing to post appreciation separately.

Exactly, a quality post gets quoted so many times it just fills pages, a like system would be better suited imo.

The one I really like is the notification when someone has quoted/replies to you, I think that’d be a great new function

Not going to happen.

By the way, in case it wasn't widely known, the New Replies button shows you which threads you have posted in and iirc clicking the icon at the far right will take you to the last place you left that thread (which in most cases is where you last posted).
