The calculated guess is though, if they do rate Purslow input as of that much importance, they would have rejected his resignation. There were comments made about recent deals that CP made, and the owners openly made known that they are not deals that are in line with their vision. I am not as worried as you are regarding CP. As Kev said, they would have heard much about Rafa's flaws already.

There is no such thing as the perfect human being, we all have our faults and flaws, so what are these glaring flaws that Rafa has that will prevent him from working for Liverpool again?

I think you might be getting the wrong end of the stick in this case, but it seems to me that Rafa's detractors seem to dwell on his flaws. Almost as if he's not supposed to have any, holding him up to an ideal no one can match. I know the man's not perfect (who is?) but I accept the flaws when it comes with the overwhelming plusses he brings.

Really think people need to move on from "rafa is the only solution" mentality. He has had his opportunity and bringing him back won't allow us to re-invent the club from a tactical point of view...the dressing room is "crying out" for a change in attitude and mentality (sorry to sound over dramatic)...away from what Hodgson is introducing at the moment....

Fresh ideas. Fresh outlook. And a fresh start for many of the players already on our books.

Why? What's so good with "fresh and new"? You want success you go get a coach with a track-record for success. Rafa fits the bill and knows the club inside out. He is the IDEAL candidate.

Who knows. There have been innuendo's made that Carra was partly responsible for getting Rafa sacked and for sending that "sms" to Houllier about "he didn't beat you boss."

Who really knows.

Pretty sure that recently on TLW they ran two polls about our new manager - one was would you take Rafa back as manager? and around 64% said yes. The other one was who would you want as next Liverpool manager? and listed 5 options along with an "other" where you could name someone not on the list - Rafa polled 34% or something (the highest of the 5 options by far) and another 35% went for various other options not listed.

Now TLW is a famously "anti Rafa" forum and even they think he is the best option - tells you something about just how many fans would really be unhappy about his appointment. On here we had the poll in May about whether you wanted Rafa sacked or not and about 84% said they wanted him to stay (must have missed that poll did you Purslow!)

I don't think Rafa would be as unpopular an appointment as many would have you believe.

Don't think its an issue of being a popular or unpopular signing. It's if its the best choice for our future that bothers me.

How many times to NESV have to hint about poor short term decision making at the club in the last year before you click and realise who was making those decisions and so whom they are implicitly criticising each time?

I despise the poison dwarf and I don't think we should be allowing him to attend games at Anfield but I don't fear that he has the ear of NESV.  Not at all.  The thing is there will be plenty of people advising them not to bring Rafa back without Purslow opening is deceiver's mouth. As Nocturnalvin said for every RAWK there is a TLW.  For every Al555 there is a Xerxes1.

I understand that there are articulate for and against supporters but I am not sure this logic works - at best/worst it means that the fanbase is equally divided. Match going and across the board forum fans, in my opinion would offer more support for the return of Rafa.

MY plea to the owners. Please ignore the minority of fans who are unable to recognise a turd when they see one. Roy Hodgson doesn't *understand* football; he blindly, unchangingly sets his team up to a formula which he inherited from a mate 35 years ago. This is not conjecture, aside from the fact that it should be obvious to anybody who has the misfortune to watch his teams play, he happily tells that to anybody who will listen!

He sticks to that formula, whether it works or not, because he doesn't know how to do anything else.

So he'll sit there, telling us how clever he is and how he's not doing anything different now than he did when he was winning championships in Sweden, putting square pegs into round holes.

And when it doesn't work he'll blame the players. Or the previous manager. Or the previous CEO. Or try to lower expectations; beating Everton? Utopia, a dream.

Really it's like watching a spoilt child hammering away at that fisher price ball with the shapes, all the while with a running commentary about how wonderful he is and how unfairly he's been treated.

Please, let's not give him two or three more games. Lets not give him any more games.
